    A great return for Cain

i enjoyed Wednesdays episode where Cain returned and his first job was to put Andy Sugden in his place then wind the kings up. he was a great character who was missed but i hope he stays for a while and shakes things up with Andy and the Kings it would be nice to see him sort the wyldes spoilt children out to Nathan and Maisie. i used to like maisie but she is getting annoying now.

i'm a little confused but wasn't the last time we saw Cain ,flying off into the sunset with a load of  "dosh"  liberated (cough! ) from the Kings! and evading the long arm of the law! so how come he "stalks" back into Emmerdale with not a care in the world!?  (please note i have not yet watched thursdays episode- could all be explained? )

It was funny when Jumbo followed him yesterday expecting him to have buried the treasure.

I have a theory about why Cain hasn't been charged for the kidnap/attempted murder.  The police still want to find out who killed Tom, they suspect one of the Kings so perhaps they have let Cain free on condition he finds out who-did-it.  Once he has all charges wil be dropped.

Re: A great return for Cain

I really must be in the minority.

I find Cain an obnoxious, greasy, amoral, not very good looking person. In real life who would really fancy him or be scared of him.

    Jeff is an excellent actor.

Cain is a dreadful bully in a much worse vein than Andy Sugden. Andy hits out in anger and frustration, Cain just does it because he is bad.

I agree that Jeff is a very good actor. I wouldn't fancy Cain either but he can be very scary when it suits him

I have to disagree about Andy though. He has turned into a really nasty person since he started hitting Jo...that was not anger or frustration.

Re: A great return for Cain

I get the feeling that this time around Cain is going to be harder, tougher, use his brain more. No longer the small time crim.  Jeff is excellent. Already he's giving the impression that Cain is in control. He's learnt alot out in the big wide world, away from Emmerdale and he's going to give the Dingles a whole new dimension. A strong baddie fighting his daughters corner.

I like the new hairstyle.  The last one was very small time village lout.

I hope they keep Cain on track and in control, although last night I think they showed the beginning of a relationship with Natasha.  How about for once it not being a sordid affair but a genuine friendship.

Re: A great return for Cain

I hope it's not a repeat of the Reynold's storyline with mother and daughter.

Who remembers that one when Cain dreadfully took anvantage of a much younger girl (child really) out of spite, tried to kill an old man then had an affair with the mother.

Never mind, he is a good father???? errrr son???? errrr brother??? (Maybe Sam deserves to be called a fat head, bullied and pushed around)

The writers did relent slightly when he took the blame for Alice's euthenasia.

I agree (and had forgotton about that one).  I am not particularly looking forward to having Chastity back but I may change my mind.
