Even national newspaper dailymail wrtten an article critising him.
I reckon the way LH speaks, soon or later he is going to be turned into the most unpopular f1 driver.

Although I am no fan of LH, do not like his attitude and have always thought he has been overhyped and wrongly (IMO) always considered the innocent party during the whole of 2007, the fact that he is so bigheaded is not just down to Lewis. The British media are mainly to blame and have done him no favours at all in pretending that he is perfect. But that is their favourite pastime - build someone up so much that they believe the hype, then enjoy knocking them off their pedestal.

I agree with you there, and it ruined alonso's reputation in the process. Lewis needs a reality check before its too late.

I agree with that post too, but we shouldn't forget that Hamilton is 23 or so years old, he's not some star struck 16 year old suddenly thrust into the limelight, he has a measure of control over whether he believes all the hype, and access to all the media savvy people that McLaren employ.
I'm not saying he's played no part in all the hype, but it does appear to be part of his makeup to be boastful.
As for the media knocking him down, as I've said elsewhere, he doesn't need to make it easy for the media to accomplish that.

You're probably right Stigga. I was trying desperately to find a redeeming feature in Lewis and it is very difficult. Sometimes I think "come on he can't be that bad, he's just a young guy" but I get so negative about him and it worries me a bit.

And I think that's the crux of the matter Champ, as soon as people start thinking "he cant be that bad", something happens and he just confirms that he can be that bad, even some of his own fans are now being critical of him.

lukef212004:
I for one, do! the guy is unbelievable, and not in a good way. Ever since he came into F1 he's been bigging himself up, and his dads' are unbearable, that is: surrogate dad dennis, and the real one. He forgets that not many rookies have the oppurtunity to drive the best car with the reigning champion set-up. I honestly believe any talented driver;Kubica, Kovalainen, Rosberg would have been able to achieve what he did last year had they been driving the same car.
*He even had time to refer to the slower teams as "the monkey's at the back."
*He accused Alonso of trying to run him of the road at Spa, just because someone dared to challenge him.
*He ignored team orders in Hungary, yet Alonso was punished.
*He drove dangerously behind the safety car, but did anything happen?
*He held up Riakkonen at Interlagos but got away with it.
*I am sure he used an extra set of tyres once, but it was all laughed off as inexperience.
*He was driving a ferrari all season, masquerading as a Mclaren, then claimed he knew nothing about it.
Now that Kovalainen has joined Mclaren, he is looking better than Hamilton, yet ITV still hail him as some god like entity. I am an F1 fan before i follow any particular driver, but i hope Alonso joins ferrari next year. The combination of Raikkonen and Alonso should prevent Shamilton from winning anything for a good few years, and that can only be a good thing. I actually dont think he will win this year and i wouldnt be surprised if Kovalainen finishes higher. Lewis is a child, and the more he is indulged by ITV and Ron Dennis, the less he will learn.
I hope he never wins it. He doesn't nor will he ever deserve Fernando's crown. I personally would like to see McLaren fall back the field with a string of hopeless cars. In such an event I can see Mr Hamilton ditching the team in a heartbeat.
It's easy to be loyal when the team give you a championship winning car.

Alonso did that himself by assuming no 1 status in an equal team and he did not play like a team player. McLaren can get Kovalinen and Hamilton to work together but Alosno was rattled that a rookie and his team mate was doing better than him.

Hamilton didn't exactly play like a "team player" either, or have you forgotten the disobeying team strategy bit, the running to the FIA bit, and the snidey remarks he directed towards Alonso bit ?.
Heres something for you to consider, he was annoyed because Alonso wanted No1 in the team, fast forward to the beginning of this season, what was Hamilton announcing to the world ? He was telling us all how nice it was to have Heikki in the team, but what a big responibility it is for him (Hamilton) to be the "Team Leader".
If that's not hypocricy I dont know what is.
One day all will become clear, I just hope it happens sooner rather than later.
