It looks like you missed a few bits, pdk. I might have got that one wrong, but racer's first post after his return from Japan was unexpectedly soon and did not fit in with information he gave in other posts regarding his travel arrangements. You also seem to have missed that while he claimed his main business in Japan were customers competing in the support races, those race categories were actually not part of the support races.
Hi justrace. I asked for a reference for these bits I'd missed but so far haven't got it, so I've had a look myself, and I think you've been misled a bit by the rhetoric. The timing of Racer's return from Japan seems exactly as he said it would be. The times here are BST, from when the post was posted on the forum.
3/10/09 8.27am Will be getting on a plane tonight for 18-20 hours journey back to the UK, in office first thing Tuesday morning 5/10/09 9.14am Writing on a plane over the Indian Ocean I think. 6/10/09 8.02 am Back in the office (Tuesday)
These posts are on the Hi from Japan and the Hi from the UK threads. Japan time is 8 hours ahead of BST. So at approx 1630hrs in Japan, he said he was getting on a plane later. He was on the plane somewhere over the Indian Ocean on Monday at 09.14 BST. He would have had about 9-10 hours of flying left. Then 23 hours later, at 8.00am, he turned up in the office, on the Tuesday morning. It all sounds quite normal and achievable to me.
Re his customers in the Japan support races, as far as I can see, Racer has been very careful never to say exactly who his firm and his customers are. He could be working for an international firm with international customers, in any racing category, we just don't know, and he's not telling us. It seems to me that Racer is having a great old joke. People complain that he is making a fool of them, but nobody can do that, you have to make a fool of yourself.
It has now got to the point where he will never be believed by the doubters. He could post all sorts of proof, for instance, a photo of his passport as has been requested, but there would be nothing to say who the passport belonged to. In any case, we don't know Racer's true name, so he could actually show us anybody's passport and we would be none the wiser. He could hold a newspaper up, or provide a receipt of something for a photo, and it would not prove anything. For all anyone knows, he could have got a friend or colleague to arrange it for him.
The doubters say they have incontrovertible evidence to prove their case, but if you look at everything very closely and carefully, they actually haven't got hard evidence of anything. What they've got is a lot of unanswered questions. I really don't think it's ever going to be proved one way or the other.
For news and information about F1, I go to the various internet websites. I read Racer's posts purely for entertainment. I think I'll take advice from someone and just not read the doubters' posts, and they don't have to read me or Racer, and then we'll all be happy. Cheers Justrace, from Lord Lucan.

Hi Kris, that''s Redfrog's little thought. He's a top poster, that ol' froggy.
I totally agree with your comments about chill out, it's not life and death, it's just a forum.
Cheers, kris, keep the faith, and have a Friday night drink on me!

Just before I left work today (with one eye fixed on this thread) I received an Email from a colleague. He was working from home today and he sent me a picture of a mutual contact within IT industry. The timing of receiving this email is poetic in itself, at 5.20pm.
Our contact, Taj, is a local business man and runs a small but successful organisation in Coventry. We have never met but know each other as we conduct business via email and telephone. Taj is a car nut, we both live in a comfortable but certainly not affluent area in the midlands and it’s fair to say Taj prefers to spend his hard earned on cars rather than houses. He is easily recognisable on the way to work as I often filter past him in traffic on the R1 as he drives amongst other things a black, convertible Lamborghini. (I’m told he also has a Ferrari)
The picture I received was of poor camera phone quality but good enough to be quite recognisable. Taj, it transpired WAS at the Grand Prix last weekend as I have subsequently learned and the picture was of him, in a swanky bar sharing a table with none other than Heikki Kovalainen.
With permission, I shall post this photo on our forum to demonstrate how easily it can be to take nothing more than a throw away snap of a genuine grand prix hero by none other than a genuine fan of our sport.

r1_racing: blue-orchid: Hi Racer, i have read and enjoyed your posts alot, Really, which ones? I have a question for you, I wouldn’t expect an answer then your initials would not be the same as the 2009 WDC would they. Oh a cryptic question, let me see if I can work it out..... How you write is very simular to a guy i spoke to occassions, You mean you spoke to someone who writes like this? Did he often wibble on about Terry Pratchet and Douglass Adams when he loked chilled and philosophical? when i worked for an events company that was under contract to 2 F1 teams, Oh here we go, really which Teams did you look after? this was a few years ago I bet, how many exactly, 2, 5, 10, 20????? and i just wondered if by chance you were the same guy? I’ve got it, it’s Jenson Button!!!!!!!
Hi Blue Orchid, how you write reminds me of a similar guy I spoke to on occasions..... .... He was equally vague and non convincing
Well maybe i do any maybe i don't, i thought the guy was someone called Jonathan Brant, who worked for a support race team about 4 years ago, and i met him a few times when the company i worked for Harsteph event managment company who were hired to arrange the launch for Williams and also arranged bespoke events for Jordon and Sauber. I don't post often, mainly because i have a young family, plus a job. Sorry if as a new member i seem to have offended "older poster".

Sorry for not replying sooner, pdk, been busy. I did not mean to say that anything was wrong with racer's story. I think I did say that there might be perfectly reasonible explanations. The point I was trying to make is that it would be fairly trivial to add some credibility to his story, if it is true. Of course there is no absolute proof either if he wants to protec this identity, which as such is very sensible anyway. I think I said it a few times, I am not bothered what the truth is, but racer must know that suspicion is only getting bigger every race weekend. So from that point of view, I think I would rather just have his opinion and could do without the reports.

Oh don’t worry, he never responds to personal questions like do you have a camera and what exactly do you do for a living?
But strangely he did respond to your questions!
Congratulations, you have succeeded where the rest of us have failed in only your 6th post.
From Racers posts, somehow you managed to deduce he really works for a support team (the GT’s by the way) despite members of this forum proving beyond reasonable doubt that this is not possible!!
And for the final nail, it’s Jordan (not Jordon)
