Re: Auditions At Birmingham. Britains Got Talent

Hi my son auditioned Birmingham in November, got a call back the week before Christmas.

Is due to audition Birmingham Hippodrome again now either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Had to get Child Entertainment Licence from county council because he is under 16, literally have had to sort loads of stuff out in 1 day as they need the licence by Monday, everything has been left till last minute, so some people may still yet hear!

    Regards

    Hayley

Re: Auditions At Birmingham. Britains Got Talent

    Hi Cailin,

Thank you, he will be dancing, theres about 12 of them.

His dance teacher got the call the Wednesday before Christmas saying they were through to the next round - the end of January.

We had not heard nothing since until this Thursday 24th, i was told he needed to get a licence (because he's under 16 and still at school) by Friday (yesterday) as the prodction team at Talkback needed all of them by Monday. I managed to get all that sorted and faxed over yesterday. We then had a call in the evening with a definate date and time - Friday 1st Feb at 1pm.

Im excited and worried now as to which way it goes.

I think things have been badly organised and things have been left till the last minute, a licence uasually takes 21 days, im just really grateful to the lady at Staffs County Council for sorting out for us in the matter of hours, without it he would not have been able to perform.

    Hayley x

Can I ask how you managed to speak to them. I rang the head office direct and they put me through to a machine! I have left numerous messages no one has got back to me. I think its terrible to treat kids like this. They made promises they obviously could'nt keep. " early January either way" they said. My 11 year old took that at face value and every day comes home from school asking, "any post any phonecalls?" its heart breaking. Anyway Good luck to all of you who have heard that your through,

    I will stop winging now!

Re: Auditions At Birmingham. Britains Got Talent

My son Harley and his dancing partner Jessica auditioned in Birmingham.  They had a phone call just before xmas saying that they were shortlisted for the next lot of auditions.  We were told the dates they needed to keep free and had to tell them where we had had their music from.  I rang the man back the next day to tell him were the music was from and I asked him what happened next?  He said we would get a phone call in the New Year.

We were all really excited. So every time the phone has rung we have been hoping that it is them.  They are 9 & 10 years old and have told all their friends.  Everyone keeps asking when we are going for the next audition.  We still haven't had the phone call.  We are starting to give up hope.  How do you tell a 9 year old that actually your not through to the next lot of auditions.  They are giving false hope to people.

Harley's sister Jade also auditioned in Birmingham with a group of 24 dancers.  They also had the phone call before xmas.  Yet again, they still haven't heard anthing else.  The auditions are 2 days away.  How do they expect a group of 24 dancers plus parents to drop everything with only a couple of days notice to go for the audition.

We are still living in hope that the phone will ring.  Even if it is only the day before.  We have all been really excited, don't disappoint us now.

Congratulations! Thats very short notice, isn't it! I would think this is the last day for calls as they will be busy tomorrow.

Is this the first conatct you have had from them since November auditions?
