    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

I loved, Game For A Laugh, You've Been Framed, and Beadles About when growing up, then I only had a brief encounter meetin Jeremy Beadle in Cyprus for a "special" 50th Birthday suprise.  His shirt was brighter than the sun, but his sense of humour was even brighter.

A true professional, and a gentleman who will be missed by many.

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

It is the most sad time in anyone's life to lose someone they love. My sincerest condolences to the Beadle Family.  I hope you will, in a small way and in realisation to come, be comforted to know that Jeremy was really loved by so many.

He was quite obviously a funny, caring and very wonderful person.  I believe we did not see his full potential and we did lose him too early.

Our prayers are with Jeremy and his family.

It is so sad that Jeremy Beadle has died.

I grew up watching him on television and he made me laugh so much.

If ever I was feeling down and he was on tv, I would start laughing.

I will never forget him and I am thankful that I met him once when I was out driving one day and I have to say that he was the nicest man that I have ever met.

    So Genuine, funny and kind.

    RIP Dear Jeremy.

    Gone but never forgotten.CryingBroken Heart

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

You half expect Jeremy Beadle to sneak out with a microphone and say it's all a big wind-up and he's still here!

I always remember when we used to sit as a family to watch Beadle's About and my Mum would cry with laughter. My Dad has never forgotton the wind-up where a potential employee was made to shout at his interview "Howdey Doodey, I'm Your Man!" and pull down his trousers!

Thank you for all the hours of laughter, you made some of the most memorable television ever, and with your charity work your family can be extremely proud of you. I will watch all your classic clips with a huge smile.

    Rest in peace.

as the hours tic along, the greatest thing i have noticed is,

however short the contact with jeremy was - just - how huge the impact wasBig Smile.

I was in those mad fun crazy 1980s, lucky enough to get a bit part, as a actress in a Beadles about stunt- correct me if im wrong , but if im right , it was one with the highest ever viewing figures.

Jezz was warm and easy company, he loved the fun, the laughter, making ordinary people feel like stars. I ended up as a featured character in 3 series, and J even took me to leeds to be in panto with him ,He was generous, in many many ways, im not surprised to hear just how much he helped to raise for charity- he was a born giver-  and my own memory of him is this- he loved to make people  feel special- he loved both his extended family& friends  and his own family deeply,  he loved  lived....and laughed

Ive shed many tears remembering ...- a  good man ,taken far too soon ,from a world that watched him watchin us...laughing with him - laughing with us.

Big Smile I heard tonight that Jeremy raised a lot of money for charity, i heard tonight what a great man he was.  these were the things that people knew him for. what people don't know  however is the massive impact he had on my childhood.  On Saturday nights our family laughed while we sat and watched "Beadles About".  My father forgot to hit m mother and sister and he forgot to abuse me.  I also forgot for the briefest of time that reality was fear not laughter.  He gave me something to aspire to, so  I looked for a man who made me laugh and having found him, we raised 3 happy children on  a diet of giggles and jokes.  Thank you so much Jeremy, Angel of laughter and patron saint of the practical joke.Big Smile

God Bless you Jeremy. Not only for your entertainment but your modesty, bravery and inspiring ways.

I  was born with a small right hand and for years it never saw the light of day. I was very self -conscious of my hand and embarrassed.. Most people thought I only had one arm because I hid my hand inside my sleeve. That's until I saw Jeremy on the TV and my Mum would to say ' Look Jeremy's not bothered, he's not hiding his hand?'

I'd never seen anyone with a hand like mine and It took a while but eventually the sleeve  was rolled up.

You've were a great man without even knowing you were doing it.

Thank you Jeremy. I will miss you always .

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy, his mum, wife and daughters on a few occasions when they came to visit their newly born Golden Retriever Puppy Shennanigan.

Jeremy was a real dog lover and enjoyed rolling around the kitchen floor with Shennanigan and the rest of the litter.  He always arrived immaculately dressed and went home covered from head to foot in puppy hair, and puppy slobber, his laces untied and his ears chewed and licked.  I remember being relieved at how normal and genuine he was and knew he would be a responsible caring owner for one of our pups.

I feel privileged to have known Jeremy, he made the world a better place.
