    Re: Rosie

Well I don't carry a handbag but I don't know of many who do carry it the way Dozy does.  Mrs Slocombe used to carry her bag like that though.

    Re: Rosie

There were quite a few comments about Vernon's forthcoming departure suggesting he was a waste of space.  tbh i think that description more fitting of Dozy Webster.  Was there ever such a pointless character?  At least Vernon has some good/funny lines.  All Dozy seems to do is smile that false smile and make catty comments.  More of Sophie and less of Dozy.

    Re: Rosie

And is Dozy such a "good friend" of Carlas, I thought she was just an employee?

'appen you're right.  Maybe she has more sense than we give her credit for?

    Re: Rosie

Don't reckon much of her chances of dealing with the teacher turned taxi driver though.  Threatening kids seems to be about his limit.

    Re: Rosie

Hope Corrie sees sense and gets rid of the vile teacher turned cabbie real soon.  And suggesting that a 16 year old kid is some sort of vixen trying to ruin a poor man's relationship is beyond the pale.  Just where will Corrie draw the line and how old will his next "temptress" be - 10?

    Re: Rosie

Seeing how Rosie was behaving last night is hardly beyond the pale,  she lied to Fizz that John had come on to her, then at the end she was striking a very provocative pose trying to get John to notice her, which he did, but not in the way she wanted.  So glad he told her to to lay off.

    Re: Rosie

Exactly.  A 16 year old wouldn't behave like that (not in my day anyway).  Scriptwriters seem to be implying it's another Carla-Liam-Maria storyline but when you're talking about a 16 year old kid the dynamics aren't the same.  In my book he's no better than a paedophile.

    Re: Rosie

And I still don't like the way he's potraying himself as some sort of victim because he's had to give up his job. He was the adult and an adult in a position of responsibility and trust. Had he any decency he would have resigned from the outset.

    Re: Rosie

I have to say John seems to have a slight smug look about him at the moment and I am not sure why? Its not like he's got anything to be smug about (though it might just be his acting?) I reckon Fiz will take John back eventually, but I am certain that John will be unfaithful again and probably with the same teenager...

He comes across like it was all down to Rosie, but there is such a thing as having your cake and eating it too, and although Rosie is a tart John was the one in the relationship.

    Re: Rosie

Well given that she's only ever had one other relationship I wouldn't call her a tart.  The fact that she may have "thrown herself" at him though is no excuse.  Teenage crushes should stay that way (particularly where teachers are concerned).

    Re: Rosie

Rosie seems to be going through that stage of teenagehood when her hormones are in high gear. I feel bad for Fizz though.  John Stapes, he comes back into her life, they rekindle their former feelings for each other and then he meets Sally and she wants private lessons from him and is attracted to him but Rosie gets her claws into  him and so while feeling guilty about Fizz, Rosie's coming on to him and he's not exactly turning him down and then Sally tells him she has these feelings for him that she doesn't understand.....so, he become yet another Corrie Street "womanizer".  Rosie also developed an unrequited crush on Liam which he isn't interested in.  Amazing what some young women will do when they are turned down, so to speak.  Liam told her flat-out he wasn't interested and so off Rosie went, hurt feelings and all and is now bent on coming on to John and he to her.  I guess every man Rosie meets, who is good-looking, she feels if he doesn't come on to her, she will try and flirt with him.

Liam also seemed to have feelings for Carla and when they kissed, she didn't exactly push him away.  You need a scorecard to figure out who's who on the Street and all the various triangles.  Not for nothing is Coronation Street called a "soap".
