I am pretty sure that Jeremy Kyle refers to Graham Stanier as a genius for the simple reason that this is someone who devotes his time helping others and resolving social issues and does so with a high success rate.

 I found a good quote from wikipedia which sort of explains: "Genius refers to a person, a body of work, or a singular achievement of surpassing excellence. More than just originality, creativity, or intelligence, genius is associated with achievement of insight which has transformational power. A work of genius fundamentally alters the expectations of its audience."

Therefore you dont have to be a scientist or Dr to earn this title, and im pretty sure he does work hard to achieve this.  You cannot judge him based on a few minutes of TV footage.

I am led to believe he is also involved in many youth project initiaatives as well, which in my mind if he succeeds in helping out our young people then he is a genius.
