    samantha k.:

Claudia, Capt Ryan. Stephen and now Nick. Crying  How much can we fans take!!  What is the joke here?  Are the writers building us up for something bigger?   I am very confused over the whole thing.  If this is a set up for something to come then they are either very smart writers in that we will all have a "ah I see why now" moment or they are very naive thinking we will stay interested if they wait too long to reveal it to us.  Why have all those little teasers in S1 & S2 if they are not going to act on them.

    UGH!!  Tongue Tied

Yes, I agree completely. But in the case of Cutter and maybe Steven, it was the actors' choices, so the writers cannot be blamed.

Sad [:(] Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

I sent an email to the Douglas Henshall website expressing my disappointment that Douglas decided to leave.  I mentioned the uproar in the forum regarding Cutter's demise and how unhappy people are because of the storyline strands that need Cutter to resolve. Not to mention the fact that we love his character and know how integral he was to the development of the show.

I really wish him well.  I did suggest that with chaos theory it is possible for Cutter to return, but it has to be done in a believable way. Dougie, if you reading any of this, YOU ARE MISSED! You really are. This goes for James Murray too.  The double act worked, IT REALLY DID!

    I agree with you there.

Too soon and not very well done.  There is hope because things do change that he might be back sometime.

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

For me, Nick Cutters death means the death of this very promising TV show...It would be better if that had happened during a season finale. I've found the planning of his departure very bad and the story behind Cutter totally unfinished.

Sad to admit but no more Primeval for me, thank you.

we will never forget him and his accent or his fluffy hair*lol*. no seriously, it's a shame such a great actor leaves the show.

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

I believe there also needs to be a R.I.P Primeval thread Big Smile lol as even if the show does not die, i refuse to believe this new 're-invented' James Bond primeval is the same show =) =P

    Hi Dyonisia

I can't put it any better - great double act, both sadly missed. Sad

I'll be watching for future progs with Dougie and James from now on.......

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

Stephan, Nick and Jenny/Claudia should come back some time, maybe in future series 5 or 6 if there's one. that would be cool. or for a final series, like in ER.

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

Everyone's acting like its not possible that steven and nick can come back! Anything is possible in Primeval, so everyone be positive and dont stop watching the show! They all might come back, and i swear helen took some of steven's hair at the end of series 2! maybe that means she's cloning him, i dunno but i dont think everything is as it seams...

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

The way things are going this series, anything's possible!

If rumours about S4 are true though, we just have to accept that it ain't gonna happen, there will be no revival of Nick or Stephen ...... how I miss the gradual development of S1 and S2........ !

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

Primeval is dealing with stepping back and forth in time, and so of course anything COULD be possible with time travel...including saving Nick from being shot

I've read elsewhere that the writers aimed for the Helen-Nick story arc to finish in Series 3 and new story arcs to begin and be carried into series 4, so I guess there's no hope for a return of Nick in the short term...

HOWEVER, if Primeval stays popular who knows how a series 5 could be...perhaps with enough support from the fans we will see Nick make a welcome return...

Speaking of which, have all you Nick-fans seen the Bring back cutter petition elsewhere in this forum?

They better come up with a VERY good idea then. Cause everything around Primeval was always about Helen&Nick's story.
