    please help!!!

you need to talk to someone hun and a doctor is the best person to speak to about this.
It is all confidential and he will let you know if you do need to loose weight or what else you can do:) we are always here to listen anyway;)

    please help!!!

    Hey Holliow.

I am currently age 11 clothes with a belt - I'm 17. I am not healthy, I am not happy, I do not have any energy, I can't do things that I love, and some day's I don't see any point to anything.

I do not have Anorexia Nervosa, neither do I have Bullimia Nervosa. I lost weight in the beginning because I wanted to be thinner, looking back - I was already very thin, and was always called anorexic. (I no longer suffer from this, but my weight is low due to other things at the moment - I am working on it though.)

I doubt very much, that if you went to a size 4, you would be able to skate, as you would feel lifeless and your energy would be drained from your body by the time you would have put your skates on. Granted you may be able to do somethings, but it would hurt when you jumped, and if someone had to life you, it would hurt you because you would have no covering.

I know that this probably isn't going to help you, as when you are in the state of mind that you are, nothing helps until you are able to think differently in your own mind.

Is there a teacher who you can talk to? A friend? Your mum? Sister? Grandparent? Dad? Your coach even? You say that she is great so perhaps she is someone who you could talk to?

What is it you are scared of, about going to the doctors?

Do you mind me asking what your height is? You sound like a naturally slim person anyway, so please don't take this chance to be thinner. Remember all the bad things about when you were suffering from your ED before, and all the things you hated about it.

I don't mean for any of this to come across nastily, neither do I want to sound like I am talking down to you, but you sound quite low, and I'm sure it would help if there was someone who you could find that you could confide in.

    please help!!!

    Hey Holliow,

I am wondering how much you weigh? I know that you probably don't want to write it though, could you perhaps say what weight you would like to reach?

How does this feel different to your ED? Did you go to a dangerously low weight when you had your ED?

Like I said before, you are obviously a slim person anyway, because to fit into size 6, you have to be reasonably thin!

You sound like you have a great career/hobby ahead of you! To be offered a place in Competition training, you must be good! :)

I'm sure there is someone you can talk to? A friend? There must be someone, you may not think they will understand, but maybe they will surprise you.

I know you don't know me from Adam, but you can always write on here and talk. I know I can't fully understand how you are feeling, because everyone feels differently, but I can try to understand.

    xXx Becki.

    please help!!!

    Hey Holliow,

6 Stones is quite low.... Well, it is really low.

I suppose there is no point in me writing the health risks, because you are likely to know them all already - loss of energy, osteoporosis, loss of periods resulting in infertility and many more.

I really hope that you can find someone, whom you trust in to talk to.

    Take Care.

    please help!!!

With all the increased training you'll encounter if you do the competition training you need to find a sports dietitian who can advise you of a well balanced healthy diet that'll help you cope and develop your skating to the next level.
Crash dieting will have the opposite effect. You need all your energy ,strength and stamina .

The weight of the pro female skaters ,around 5ft ,that took part in the Dancing on Ice was about 7st. I personally think 6st is rather low ,Frankie was 6st 7lb and she was more than half a stone lighter than any of the others.

I also wish you could find someone to discuss things with.

    Take care.

    please help!!!

With extra hours of training you will be given you will lose weight without having to change your diet. In fact you'll probably have to increase you intake to maintain a sufficient energy level.
Everybody is different ,some can eat what every they want without putting on weight ,others are the opposite. When I was at my most active I was under 10st which at 6ft is well under weight. With inactivity following a Motorbike crash I put on most than 2 1/2 stone which didn't want to come off without changing my eating habits.
Now I'm back to doing sporting things again ,including Ice Skating ,I'm below 11st and am comfortable with it. All the developed muscles are in the right place for the sports I'm doing and as the level of activity goes up I'll will increase my intake to prevent too much weight coming off.

Honestly it's not just a case of losing weight when you are doing high energy sports. You have to have a well balance diet so that you have the right combination that won't hinder what your doing. The fact that they want you to go on to do competition training is excellent and you must have worked hard to get to this level so it's important that you have a well balance diet as it would be a shame to destroy what you have already achieved .Most people can only dream of competing.

A sports dietitian can advise you on a healthy plan to help you along the way and the increased training will do the rest.
