    Another totally accurate review!  It seems that the audience knows more about making good TV than the so called Producers!! (someone should be sacked!!)

    Re: change to The Bill

    I'm glad to see such mass condemnation of the changes to The Bill. The Awards had proved its popularity and the changes are a smackin the face for the viewers who voted. You always felt as though you could be watching a bustling, busy and realistic (allowing for dramatisation) London police station in action. The acting of all the cast was always first class, the mix of stories always both interesting and exciting, with natural humour sprinkled throughout.

     Now we have a station obviously on an energy saving campaign as it is always badly lit. The camerawork is gimmicky and unrelated to the action. And the music makes the mood of every scene feel the same; dull and boring. It is like watching the build up scenes in a science fiction horror story. I still watch because the acting is still great but please get some pace and buzz back into it or the acting standard will not be enough to keep me, my family and friends watching.

    You guys in charge. Look at the ratings guys - while you still have some.

    Re: change to The Bill

    Yup, the first episode of the supposedly new and improved Bill just hit the shores of Australia and well, all I can say is rubbish rubbish rubbish! The actors must be cringeing with every episode filmed I'm sure as they must realise how terrible it all is. I think the following comment summed it all up best;

    1.  The theme tune - The Bill tune was as part of the show as were the characters!  The new theme tune (and I use that term loosely, because it doesn't even really sound like a tune!) is dismal to say the least.

    2. The Uniforms - Part of a police station is to have uniformed officers.  In the three episodes I have seen, there seem to be few of them and it is tending to focus far too much on CID!

     3. Incidental Music???? - What is that all about?  It just doesn't sit right with The Bill.  Whilst some good incidental music may heighten atmosphere (Mostly used in US shows), the bad bad incidental sounds used in The Bill just do not work.

    4. The lighting - What is with having the police station so dark????  Someone please get Sunhill some lightbulbs!

    5. Characters - I have no problem with the current police characters, they are great, but now we don't seem to be getting great criminal characters, in fact it seems we focus completely on the CID investigating than we do getting to know the crimes and the characters properly.

    I can't believe it and really hope to see some major improvements soon or I will be turning the T.V off at 8:30pm on a Saturday night.

    Re: change to The Bill

    OK so i am under 30, which i assume is who the producers are aiming this new show at. I have become really hooked on the bill in the last couple of years, so much so that i have gone out and purchased all the previous series right back to the start of the show. I agree with everyone here in saying it was the story lines, character development, and fast paced style that got me hooked.

     The Bill used to be a shining light in a sea of crappy American tv, it was a perfect example of just how far ahead of American mediocrity British acting really was. Now you have ruined it! If there are not major changes back to the old format my wife and I will be switching off for good!
