    Re: The Sharmas

The girl who plays the sister reminds me of the actress in her first role when she has to 'ham' it up and be all OTT. She is not that good but time will tell

Yeah Leah, he used to play Dev's younger brother in Corrie. He also played a shopkeeper (typecast?!) in Shameless

    Re: The Sharmas

I do think that soap acting can tend towards hammy anyway. This isn't a ctiticism, just an observation. Just look at the likes of Marlon, Bob, Val and many more I could mention. In reality soap is relaxation TV, it's never purported to be Hamlet, and it has it's own place.

All three members of the Sharma family are played by Asian actors. Rik Makarem plays Nichil.

    Re: The Sharmas

I quite like two of them, Priya and Jay, but am not so fond of the other one, Nichil? I have no clue how to spell it, haha! I think he's meant to be the new Tom King type character, bossy and focused on being a businessman first, everything else second.

Jay's softer, more easy-going, less stressed character seems to balance out Nichil's "I-am-the-boss-you-will-do-as-I-say-or-else", domineering character, so it's good to see the two sides interact. I like Priya's wild-child shopaholic character too. I hope that her and Eli continue being friends, because I can see something good happening in the storyline for them! They are the perfect match from what I've seen so far, and I can imagine the uproar it would cause in both families if they were to have a romance!

As far as I am aware Dev is in Coronation Street. This is a few times now Corrie characters or Enders characters have appeared on the wrong site. What's going on

I think the other two posts to which you refer were by a dimwit and a windup merchant, respectively, whereas I think Leah and Robert just got a bit sidetracked!
