Re: debbie/ charity / michael
The only thing about this storyline which bugs me a little is that both Michael and Debbie are claiming to be massively in love with each other.........after half a dozen meetings, basically for sex, come on!

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
And - forgot to say on last post, Michael used that awful, overused cliche that is surely only ever heard on TV " I love you so much it hurts"

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
How BORING was it yesterday, Michael wants to be with Debbie, then he wants to be with this fiance, going back and forth yesterday - ARRGH. I do not care about Michael or how he feels and I thought Debbie was made of sterner stuff. Do we have to put up with this every episode now until 1st October when his secret fiance is "revealed"? Big surprise (not). I dont think I can stand it.

Again, on this subject, why was he whinging about it being so hard on him, when he has been the one stringing two women along all the time?? It was all his doing, lots of married or otherwise attached blokes probably meet women they fancy but they don't all give in to their animal instincts.

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
I don't think Michael does know who Debbie is (contrary to my earlier post). Although he knows Charity has a son (Noah) and is/was happy to accept him as his own, she probably hasn't told him she has a 19 year old daughter who also has a child making her a grandmother and him a step grandfather! I've said before he was probably attracted to Debbie initially because she reminds him of someone (Charity) and he doesn't know why. Did have to smile when Cain said to Debbie 'Is it someone you know, does she come from the village? He is soon going to find out how right he was on both counts.

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
Wasn't Michael supposed to be 'beaten to a pulp' by Cain last night? Yes he took a couple of punches, but most of his injuries came when he hit the ground. BTW how do Cain and Debbie find out which church to go to to stop the wedding?

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
It was in tonight's episode - Debbie makes him tell her.
Personally, I find this whole storyline ridiculous - Surely Charity must have mentioned Debbie to him, maybe not by name, but even so, mentioned her. She wanted her to come away with her when she left all that time ago, but Debbie chose to stay. When Chas went to stay with her a while ago, she came back saying that she wished Debbie had gone with her and that Charity really wanted to see her. If this is all true, then why wouldn't she have sent her a wedding invitation? It just doesn't pan out for me, and I think the return will be awful. I AM looking forward to seeing her once she's settled in a bit more, but I think tomorrow's episode is going to be horrendous.
The falling in love thing so fast I can well believe, as I know several people that it has happened to, as well as it happening to myself. It's just the enormous hole of how Michael is completely unaware of Debbie being Charity's daughter that gets to me. Unless, of course, he does know, and that's why he went to Emmerdale in the first place?

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
The Debbie/ Michael storyline is the most ridiculously unbelievable story line I've ever come across in any of the soaps. I always thought Emmerdale was the most true to life soap, I live in a farming/village area, but this storyline has left me absolutely gutted. If this is the best the storyliners can do then get some different storyliners with a real insight into real life. For the first time ever I switched over from Emmerdale this week, and I bet I wasn't the only one. Many more silly stories like this and it will be tata!!!!

Yes I noticed that Hermoine, he did answer my question. My thoughts on why Charity hasn't mentioned Debbie is because he knows she has a son whose dad is dead, but saying BTW I also have a 19 year old daughter who I had when I was 13 by my cousin and also she has a four year daughter. I also was under the impression that Charity knew about Sarah but it seemed to come as a shock when Debbie told her last night. She did seem to have airbrushed Debbie out of her new life so Michael wouldn't have any idea who she was. He did ask how they all knew each other before he heard Debbie call Charity mum when she opened the vestry door - OOPS! It also appears Charity was marrying Michael for his money, but didn't she get £250,000 out of the King's before she left Emmerdale? Liked Cain's remark about how much money would it take for her to be interested in a man, especially as he has about £2,000,000 of the King's money (supposedly).

Re: debbie/ charity / michael
Surely, though, if Michael heard Debbie when she was at the other end of the church and whispered "Don't do this.", he would also have heard her when Charity turned round and she whispered "Mum?!"? Understandable why she didn't mention Debbie to Michael when you put it like that, but she didn't have to tell him that Cain was her cousin. I know it's second nature for the Dingles to be all together, but if she's clever enough to bed several rich men and get them to marry her, then surely she could have told him and possibly mentioned it much, much later on, when he probably wouldn't have cared?
It did make me chuckle the way that she tried to get on with the wedding, even resorting to offering to give Debbie money in order to get her to sit down and shut up. Not because of what she did, but the way she went about it. I'm guessing she must have had some feelings for Michael, otherwise she wouldn't have been crying at the end, but I don't think she loved him and money was the main factor in her getting wed to him.
I have to say, I think the best part of the whole hours worth of Emmerdale on Thursday was Debbie and Cain in the car on the way to the church.

I think Michael turned round when the vicar saw Cain and Debbie standing at the back and said there were places at the back so he didn't hear her say 'Mum'.
