    Re: Charity?

I've just googled Emma and she seems to suit shorter hair much better it frames her face and takes the attention away from the length of her face. A slightly wider style looks good too. She is rather pretty without this hair style.

I hope they will write out Chas now Charity is back.  Two rough lookers is too much for one half hour programme.

There is a rumour that there's going to be some sort of explosion/fire in the coming weeks - maybe a good overhaul is in need now that so many characters are returning.

I hope both of them go.

Just as I predicted... Emmerdale has turned the clock back and Charity is dominating the screens. I'll watch when she's not on the cast rotation.

Well as a returning character she is bound to have a big story line to begin - give it time Vader she may blend in with time.

BTW much as I have critisised her I think her acting is great she has acted some of the other characters off the screen in just a couple of episodes !

    Re: Charity?

She's a good actress but we've seen it all before. I'm disappointed that the producer, to win back viewers, went back when he was doing very well going forward.

Yes trouble is some people  (other forums) couldn't see what he was doing as a good move forward.  Think at times we are all a bit guilty of looking back when we should be looking forward and with soaps people get very set in their ways.

I think Charity could work being back - I want to see Debbie with a smile on her face and a happy family at last. Noah is so cute I want to see him more too.

I agree, Daffodilly.  I read that her initial contract is for 6 months.  Knowing her background, I can't help having a sneaking admiration for the character.  Nothing self effacing and 'kick me Charlie' about Charity. She's all brazen (and I suppose selfish) spirit.  But it's nice to see someone who picks themselves up, dusts themselves off and hurls back into the fray.  And she does love Noah.

Did enjoy her fight with Nicola last night, Cain was a brave soul getting in between them!  Talking about Noah how come he talks with a posh accent like his dad did?  Had to smile when he said 'Are you trying to bribe me mum?'Big Smile

Personally, I hope Charity stays for a good while, because Noah is adorable. He's become my new favourite character after that line! It was genius. I think that the child actors are getting better and better, and the others should watch out! Although TJ and Gabby are the exceptions - they seem a little flat compared to Belle, Will and now Noah!

    Re: Charity?

I love Charity and was so unhappy when she left last time. However she was more a victim before as she was struggling against the Kings and got pushed downstairs.  What really upset me was the deprture of Cain this week. Is he coming back?  Debbie needs her head examining he stood by her and bailed her out financially and now she has rejected him.  Not nice Debbie not nice.

    Re: Charity?

It was his fault though she didn't want to reject him but he made her choose.

It was all his own doing, he was very childish by demanding she choose betweet her mum and dad. No matter who they're parents are, no child should be forced to choose.

    Re: Charity?

I'll probably be a minority of one here, but I really enjoy Cain and Charity together.  They understand each other.  They KNOW each other.  If ever there was a wrong side of the tracks, they're from it, but they never give in.  Amoral, scheming, deceiving but never wimpy or timid.  I really enjoyed the scenes when Cain carried her out of the fight and their conversation afterwards.  But ofcourse, being them, it all had to end in acrimony.

I am on Cains side over Charity living in the house.  He should be more understanding, but it's easier said than done.
