totally agree this has got me so angry i was so shocked!how dare she i think she is showing her true colours and cannot believe she will get away with this!she defo should be sacked it is bad enough what these people are having to read about themselves and there families but the ones who are supposed to support them slaggin them off on live tv!awful felt so sorry for him she is vile i have never commented on things before but am angry about it and just think how the kids from his school felt watchin this.im guessin she will apologise but i doint think its good enough and if i was danyl i would take this further.must put people off ever applying to go on this show in future too.i also think ofcom should be contacted on this

Desperately unprofessional and unfair of Kylies sister to make those comments.Danyl gave a superb peformance and that is what Kylies sister should have commented on. Simon should replace her. Does Kylie have another sister with no discernable talent?

I think more thoughts should be with Louis Walsh today after the death of Stephen Gately, I'm sure he's torn as to whether to appear on the show tonight (he was like a father to Stephen). This must all look like a storm in a teacup in comparison.

 Danii obviously regrets what she said it was a big case of foot in mouth and she will apologise so lets move on people. The best way to get back at her (if you must) is to vote for Danyl.

I should like to complain about D Minogues ignorant, unrequired, and mean comments on saturday. please suspend her from this show... that took pleasure in trying to out a nervous young amateur on his 1st proper tv performance... Please remove this arrogant window dressing... surely there are thousands of prettier people - that can actually be respectful.

To those of you who "dont' get it" I'll explain where the anger comes from. viewers like myself are angry not only because Danni's comment was irrelevant and inappropriate but mainly due to the vindictive way in which Danni delivered the remark. Did you not notice her little smile as she suggested that Danyl could have changed the lyrics to suit his sexual orientation? Clearly Danni was not making a serious objective question about his sexuality (if she had she would surely have asked him off air in a more sensitive way) instead Danni was obviously "having a dig", there was a definate spiteful undertone to her message. 

For those of you who don't see the harm in Danni's comment, imagine a situation where a young boy or girl is contemplating "coming out", they will be feeling extremely scared about what their family and peers will say. They then watch the X Factor (watched and adored by millions of young people) and witness Danni publicly mocking and making an issue over Danyl's sexuality. What effect do you think this will have on young homosexuals? It will surely help intensify their fear and encourage them to feel ashamed and unable to be honest about who they really are. Shame on you Danni, you are old enough to know better!

Oh no I've just remembered that Katy perry sung about kissing a girl in her song and yet she is heterosexual, and Elton John has also sung about women in his songs.....but how can it be?????Danni........listen to Macy Gray's lyrical content in "sexual revolution"! Yes we are living in 2009 not 1909!

A Double Thumbs Down for ITV & X-Factor: 1st the Crunchy Nut people apparently think that putting a baby in peril during X Factor is an entertaining or clever way to make me buy their product. Then a judge, clearly without judgement, goes deliberately out of her way to make a conestant's sexuality topical during his live debut on nat'l TV. She should be sacked or apologise unequivically. This is supposed to be family TV. ITV lost the plot on both of the above. We're going back to Strictly

I could not stand by and not comment on Danni...I am a mother of 2 teenagers who, I am proud to say, were horrified by her antics. I have brought them up to be tolerant and open minded. She should be sacked from the show...without delay. Why should Danyl have had to stand on stage and be seen to mouth...."I am not ashamed" at her suggestions towards his sexual orientation. This is Britain in the 21st century, for goodness sake, and thousands of impressionable youngsters were watching and subjected to her outrageous comments...get rid of her now...no excuses.

I was totally horrified by her comments, to leave the poor lad standing on front of that stage and make comments like that is totally out of order, also where was Dermott? He stood by all the other contestants straight after they sang but he left poor Danyl hanging in the wind all by himself till the last minute.  Does Danni not realise this could affect his Job which he might need to go back to if his singing career does not take off.  Callous manipulative and disgraceful she should be sacked....

I have never contributed to a forum before , but have registered   solely to express my shock  at the comments made by Danni Minogue last night , once was shocking enough , but as the audience and panel registered their disbelief at what they  had  heard , she repeated the offence, This is a talent show , not a forum to humiliate and insult.

I couldn't agree more....

Its a competition, we get it ... but clearly if one of the other judges can on and said something like that about her group, true, false, or simply media exagerration - its just plain rude .........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI ... Loved Danyl performance, wondering where cheryl is getting the idea he is not likable ... cause he is !! Being confident on stage i.e. not sounding nervous... what's wrong with that ! Nothing on the show so far, in my view suggests he's arrogant, and thinks that he is better than the rest.... where are ppl getting this from... I'm so lost about louis' comment ! 

I am 48 years old and have never felt compelled to join a forum or blog.  After watching last nights episode of the X Factor I was left feeling extremely angry.  How can a person stoop so low as to mention somebodies sextuality in order to score points against another judge?  The look on that poor young mans face was so awful to watch.  This is a talent show where the judges (mentors) should be pulling out all the stops to nurture and bring out the best in the individuals taking part, in order to give them the best possible chance of succeeding.  An appology should be made live on air by Danni for her homophobic comments.  If this sort of behaviour carries on. I for one will be switching off. 

Had to register today to comment on Danni's very very sad comment, ask me a song that she sings and I can't name one.  Cole who is she..... So Dermott kept smiling and joking through all the race rows on BB.... so what did you expect him to say last night (smile).

Remember it's the contestants and Simon (I love him)  that make the show.

Dannii Minogue's comments on last nights X Factor were totally inappropriate, Danyl's sexuality has nothing to do with his singing talent and she had no right bringing the subject up on live national tv, she claims they had been laughing about the words during the week, this may be the case but you don't bring up a private joke on tv and humiliate the other person. I don't care if Danyl is straight, bi, gay, red, green or blue he has probably the greatest talent on the show this year and possibly of any year. Dannii Minogue should be sacked for her comments, if she had made similar comments in a normal workplace she would be in serious trouble, why should she be able to humiliate someone on national tv and get away with it.
