And would Cain really keep a million pounds in cash in a warehouse and not some kind of dodgy bank account, I think not.

Actually that bit sounds quite real ! It is amazingly difficult to put large amounts of money into banks if you cannot prove where it came from and as this was illegally gotten it makes sense he would need to make other arrangements.

Well I stopped watching Emmerdale around the same time Cain/Sadie left. When I heard he was coming back I started watching it again. I'm glad as the other storylines they have going on are interesting and it's an enjoyable soap to watch after a hard days work. So no I dont think they have ruined it at all.

Re: Cain and Charity have ruined Emmerdale

I  quite liked Cain coming back in the show as a nicer character but do agree the Charity character has ruined it.  A lot of stars leave thinking they can make it on their own and end up coming back in the soaps as they cannot get work elsewhere.  Take Natalie Cassidy going back to Eastenders, she did a couple of useless shows, a fitness video and then nothing else.  Has she done any other work apart from doing SCD recently. I did like Patsy Palmer returning as she has become a more rounded character.

In Emmerdale, Nicola returning has worked but definitely not Charity.  Several other stars are useless, Chastity who screeches her way through every sentence, and Paddy who is the most unconvincing vet I have ever seen. I wouldn't let him within a mile of my animals. Debbie Dingle never gets a bit of grease on her clothes or hands.Marlon never has a stain on his white chef's top. Also how can the Wylde's shop afford to pay for two staff and who buys all the stuff. Surely it is only trade passing through the village which never looks that busy.  I notice the locals buy in there, how do they afford to?  The same could be said about the Sharma's employing so many at their factory which looks about the size of my sitting room. Does it really need about 7of them working in there?

It's great picking holes in the soaps but also sad that they are so blindingly obvious to enable us to do so.

When Gavin Blyth came on the scene, he said he was relaunching it. But he hasn't. He's brought in interesting characters but neglected them in favour of Cain and Charity.

    Faye/Ryan Lamb

    The Bartons

    The Sharmas

    Lizzie.

Those characters are all played by brilliant actors, and they deserve to be fleshed out, but we're getting the same old crap with Charity/Cain squabbling, kissing and basically doing the same thing over and over again. In my opinion, the new characters are the way forward, not tired old ones, played by actors who thought they were bigger than the show.

Hi Vader sorry I dont agree with you Yes they are brilliant actors but they are all outsiders or southeners looking for a  house bargain in the north and I for one comming from a north west village,Love the Dingle's who you will find in any country village. Please get rid of the Wildes who is more wooden than the Wooden tops, and Vincent and the wife who is more plastic than  Barbie and Ken Sad

'ear, you leave The Wooden Tops alone, they were great actors!!

Sorry fannyp didnt want to offend anyone,I loved the wooden tops especially spotty dog pity Mark Wilde couldnt act aswell as him, who is pulling his strings Wink
