Are there celebrities you don't like without actually knowing them?

I don't have to know him to deem him as arogant from what I've seen. It is his whole attitude that makes me think he is cocky, it's the coldness in his voice and eyes when he's 'emotional', it's a lot of things that have me feeling the way I do about him.

You can come back at me with whatever you like but you're not going to change my mind, only he can do that by showing some humility and maturity amonst other things.

I said a hint of truth, not that the press were right in liknening him to Hitler. All I'm saying is all this had to have come from somewhere. f course the press are going to overly embelish on it, it's what they do, but the stories of him not being a nice person had to have come from somewhere.

If you feel the need to judge someone without knowing them then so be it, but that opinion shouldn't be stated as fact  and yes, there are celebrities I don't like but it takes more than a few shots on a TV show to cause me to dislike them.

You see the thing is .. with Danyl .. all these accusations are based on subjective things .. like the 'coldness in his eyes' or his 'whole attitude' . He's been judged on nothing more than what people think they are seeing on a TV screen and what the gutter press choose to spew out.

As for these stories about him not being a nice person .. well Simon has stated that he knows Danyl and he knows he's an okay bloke so what makes people cherry pick opinions? Why decide to believe the bad stuff when others are standing up and saying they are untrue?

I don't know anyone who is universally liked ... in real life people like and dislike according to their own perceptions, it's often not objective.

I wouldn't dream of trying to change your opinions but I've yet to be convinced that any of them concerning Danyl are based on actual fact, and when people choose to slaughter a persons character so publicly I believe it should be for a valid reason.

    I too tend not to read the press however their was something not sitting right and could not put the words wright ,,and have to agree with this statment ,I did read on here that he is too good for the show and i think that their lyes the problem ,,he to thinks that he is to good for the show i am tired of saying it but his cockyness not to be confused with confidence was noticed well before the live shows long before the press started having a go ,,,he has a bad week and blubbers like a whale,,now you tell me who is more mature the twins or him,He does have a coldness to his voice thats shows as arogance ,,when the judges speek he,s switched off as there advice seems to mean nothin  One last thing danyl will have read the papers before the live shows and seen he was the fav well now he will know they can as well as make him they can also break him   and no i dont agree with likening anyone that enters a simple "tallent" contest to hitler either

Surely if you are going to jump on the bandwagon of hatred for a bloke you don't know it should be based on more that 'something not sitting right'  or 'reading something on the internet'.

If you don't like his voice and his performance that's fine but why can't people just leave it at that .. why does there appear to be a baying mob out for his blood? Because there's 'something about him' ??? Because he has cold eyes ????

As for maturity .... adults are as susceptable to "the straw that broke the camels back" as anyone.

I have worked in HMP and I have worked with child abusers, murderers and a serial killer and all of them were charming and plausable ... nothing on the surface gave away what was going on inside.

Enough already of slaughtering Danyl based on nothing

I have never said that you are not entitled to an opinion .. of course you are ... it's just that when I see  someone being lambasted for something as intangible as ''a look in his eyes'' or an "attitude" I feel compelled to comment.

If you don't agree and you think it's okay to make judgements about people based on that criteria then that too is your perogative. I dare say though, you probably wouldn't like to be judged by the same yardstick yourself.

You can agree with whoever you like .. it's no skin off my nose .. but I don't think I have been offensive to anyone by merely pointing out that their opinion is questionable when based on "a feeling" ... I've yet to read anything from anyone who dislikes Danyl the person (not the entertainer) which is objective.

 I've said before that if you don't like his singing and his performance than that's fine .. I've absolutely no problem with anyone's personal taste in music .. but you have to admit that the critisism directed at the bloke has very little to do with his performance on stage. That includes most of the critisism from the judges.

And as for ''slapping down the twins'' .. I don't do that ... I have said that they can't sing and can't dance, that it's not their fault they are on the show and I wonder who is voting for them. Not ONCE have I slated them as people because I don't know them.

I'm not arguing ... this is a discussion forum and I am simply intrigued as to why Danyl has been singled out as a not very nice bloke. 

If you don't have quantifiable reasons for your dislike of him then that's fine ... I totally agree you don't have to explain yourself to anyone .. but when you post on a public forum you can expect people to challenge things they don't agree with .. otherwise why bother with a forum?

This thread started with the OP saying that the press have been vile to Danyl .. I happen to agree wholeheartedly with that.

Has Danyl ever actually been considered an underdog? Until he was in the bottom two the majority of bookmakers had him a shoe-in to win.

I hadn't actually noticed anything amiss with Danyl ( and I did watch all the boot camp stuff ) until the night Danni came out with the comment about his sexuality and Louis told him he wasn't likeable .... I really did wonder what on earth was going on because as I said before, I don't read the gutter press.

Then I joined this forum and realised that Danyl had been the object of a slur campaign via the press and from that moment on I saw him as the underdog.

I bought a Sunday newspaper this week and saw an article which started  "Cocky Danyl ....."  and having seen him on TV just like everyone else, I couldn't work out why he's been labelled as cocky ... but having been labelled that by the papers it seems to have stuck.

It's a shame ....  I am one who likes to 'treat as I would be treated' so until I see evidence with my own eyes I just cannot accept he is cocky.

I also happen to think he's a good singer and like watching him but that's by the by ... and nothing to do with my defensive attitude ... I would be the same about anyone I thought was being unfairly treated.

 

It amazes me that any performance by Danyl can be called pitiful

Unless you can actually back up your words with facts, events, and data you are indeed talking hotair.

 Danyl was called cocky from day one of the main show, and he was only called cocky because he was a clear favorite and the only man with the whole package. If he gets to the finals we will judge by voice power alone, and that is what the witches are scared of.

 All I see in ALL 3 judges opposing Danyl is FEAR, and FEAR can be a nasty thing!

Unless someone can say what he has actually done, I am not buying into it!

We hear about his so called cockiness, his lack of confidence, his gender, sexuality I mean what next and come on, dont be suckered and jump on the bandwagon please!
