    Re: Pregnant Again and terrified

    Hi everyone

Well she's here, Grace was born on Sat 22nd March at 1731 weighing a teeny tiny 6lbs 8oz (out other 2 were over 2lbs heavier). I went in to hospital on the 19h for a scocial induction but after 2 days it hadn't worked so on the fri thet gave me a break, Craig and I went out for lunch and had a walk round the shops but I was pretty sore so we only stayed out for a couple of hours! I seemed to spend most of my time in hospital on the gym ball to try and get her head down. I was finally taken down to labour ward on sat late am to have my waters broken and went on the drip at 1230. I stayed on the birthing ball for the whole time and would totally recommend anyone in labour trying it, after 5 hours of bouncing, no pain relief and 2 pushes out she came. She has so far been a dream baby who rarely cries. She is just perfect and after all the heartache I can't believe she is here and I had a labour from heaven as well, you will all think I'm mad but I really enjoyed it. I really miss my bump but it is nice to be back into my pre preg clothes and weight.

I hope my typing isn't too bad, I'm breastfeeding so am typing with one hand!

Hope every one is good and had a lovely easter.

    Kirsty xx

    Hey Nicola

How are you doing, how many weeks are you now????

Baby Grace is 3 weeks old now and is a wee dream baby, she wakes for a feed every 3 hours which for a small breastfed baby is pretty good and she hardly ever cries - lets hope it stays this good. She loves being nude and being in the bath, we bought a  Tigex bath support seat for her and she falls asleep in it, def reccommend them to every one. Kieran and Anna are great with her, Kieran is always on hand to help but Anna can keep her distance, she burst into tears yesterday because she though I wouldn't have time to spend with her as I "had to see to the baby", turns out she wants to help more but didn't want to ask, bless her, we always make sure to spend plenty of time with them but I think the late nights during the holiday have taken their toll on her and it all got a bit much - they really know how to pull at our heart strings!!!!

We have to go to the ospital next week to get Gracie's hips scanned as they popped when she was checked over biut I don't think there is going to be a problem but better to be safe than sorry!!

    HI Nicola

How are you doing, have you had your baby yet?

WE are all great, Gracie is 8 weeks old today and is a star. She was struggling to gain weight, we don't think she is getting the calories she needs from my breast milk so now she has a breastfeed then a bottle and that seems to be working really well, she is gaining weight slowly and is now 9lbs 6oz, I just think she is going to be very slim, she has long legs and big feet like me!!! For the past couple of weeks she has been sleeping through the night which is great. Kieran and Anna just adore her and are great wee helpers and she is the apple of her Dads eye, I'm suprised she doesn't have a bald patch on her head from the amount of kisses she gets!!!!

Let me know all your news.

Hope every one else out there is doing fine and looking forward to a nice hot summer!

    Re: Pregnant Again and terrified

    Hi there Kirsty,

Glad to hear that all is going well with you and all the family, how fab that Grace is now going through the night!

Well, I had a boy on 28th May!  He is 6 weeks old today and is called Fraser.  He was 2 weeks early and 9lbs.  He is gorgeous and like Grace he is adored by his sister and brother and kissed and hugged and held all day!!!  Still waiting for a good nights sleep but im sure that will come soon as he is putting on weight well he just seems to be hungry every 3 hours!!!

So happy that it is all working out for you, catch you soon,

    Re: Pregnant Again and terrified

    Hi Nic

So sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.

Massive crongatulation on the arrival of little Fraser, you must be over the moon. What a wopper he was, were your other 2 big babies??? Is life all back to normal for you now? I haven't found it hard having 3 kids just need to be a bit more organised!!!!

Gracie is still the baby from heaven, sleeps 12 hours at night and then 2-3 hours after breakfast but yesterday she had he final lot of injections, there was 3 jags yesterday and she screamed solid for 15 mins, i got a real fright as she never cries never mind screams, she is fine now though and was desparate to go swimming last night but we kept her out so soon after injections.

We are due to go on holiday in 10 days and the kids renewed passports and gracies new one aren't back yet, called the office and kierans is printed but the office's are on strike for 3 days, arghhhhhh.

Wish there was a way we could keep in touch more often??????

    speak soon

    kirst xx
