i thought the idea was to keep the teams together,so why not mix the cars up and then everyone is responsible for knowing the motors in their team.{bit of a ball ache but a bit of a laugh if they get it wrong}

Tony you are also right. The idea is that the teams are to stay together and if the teams are allocated and on the site over the next few weeks it gives everyone plenty of time to study the teams so when it comes to blast off we should all have a good idea who we should be with. To make things easier with this is why i came up with the pairs idea within the teams, mixing the cars up may make the teams more interesting.

I agree Tony, it would be great fun, everyone starting with faces like a rabbit in a set of headlights, however with the sensible head on, we still have to get everyone to destination 1 by a decent time.  There is to much potential to loose too much time for each team if they split up in the first few miles. With Manufacturers, we also have a nice balance of new and seasoned Rabbit-Runners.

Hi All, James here as in Russell & James 'Booked On'. Being newbies to the event it's interesting to see how much focus on team tactics there is.  So as I understand it, avoid team 3 for some reason, and unless you have a 911 you've got no chance (we'll see)!!

 Craig, obviously RG and I not knowing what car we're taking at this stage may mess-up the teams but as mentioned it will be either RS4, RS6, CL AMG or B GT, but won't know until much nearer the time.  Don't be alarmed by the nickname, it won't be a Range Rover (you'd need a 7 day event to complete the event)!

Hi James good to have you on the event and the forum. Team 3 has been an easy target as its leader, Gary (my big bro) has been away, he got back today, he will go ape when he see's the posts hehehe. What will be funny is when we announce the teams in a couple of weeks, had loads of poeple saying they do not want to be in team 3. Some body has to be (it won't be me) all good fun

Just wondered how many teams there are as I have seen team 4 mentioned. On the site I think it only mentions 3? Or maybe I missed something !

 Just wondered about filming. I will have a tape camcorder and a bullit cam with a harddrive that will be positioned on the side of the car. Will you want any of the footage when we return or not?. Obviously I do not know whether it will be any good but the bullit cam seems to pretty good so far. Any footage from the hard drive can be sent to you on DVD.

Dude i had a good idea deeppurple was either of the RX8 chaps. The teams, there will be 3 of them, I will lead team 1, jon team 2 and Gary team 3.

Who is our new friend wingman and what chariot are you currently in, if you get team 3 don't wory i'm sure you will be fine (you'll need more than a new sat nav) even with sat nav Gary can't find his way out of a culdesac

on the subject of filming, we a using 3 pro camera men for this years event (1 per team) however the best bits that make the film are the bits filmed in each car, so we ask all cars to bring a camera. We supply the tapes, collect them at the end of the event, use the best bits in the film and then when the film has been made you can have your tapes back. DVD is fine but digital tapes are actually better as they are not compressed.

So it would seem there is only me not doing any work at the minute, oh well !!. Come on guys any more comments on the teams, we should be assembling them and updating the site at the end of the month. Gary's gone quiet, oops think i may have offended him.
