    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

My son and myself met Jeremy at Jimmy's in Leeds when my son had a kidney operation which saved his life back in 1988, Jeremy came to visit all the children, he raised so much money and always laughed. My son was recovering form a 6hr operation when he saw Jeremy and said " Your the man that put that white van in the river" Jeremy said to my son " I would not do such a thing " my son said "you did I saw you on the telly" Jeremy laughed. Jeremy took time to ask what was Thomas in for (my son) and really cared and was such a comfort. We went down in the lift together and he said he was trying to raise money for better lifts and other things. What a sad loss to his family and television , god bless to his wife and children and we will miss him so much. GOD BLESS ...... Mrs T Keaveney

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

    itventeditor:
The You've Been Framed! and Beadle's About star has died aged 59.

I first meet Jeremy at the London toyfair in one January in the 90's, I was going round trying to find a

sponsor/backer for a board game I had invented called "Give us a Job"

It had been turned down by everyone including Noel Edmonds which is a normal thing on planet earth as

they say if you want something done, do it yourself which I did in the end.

But here is the story of meeting him, He was promoting a magic set and I drifted over to him (As you do)

and I found him to be a very warm human being, that did not reject you, but listened to your every word.

I gave him a set of rules and he was very interested in the game. At the same time as I was talking a male

actor who had been in some of his game for a laugh sketches appeared, I believe he was looking for some

    work.

Jeremy instantly gave him his home number and told him to ring him, he then came back to me.

Now as I was just a complete stranger but made me feel very important now thats a good good man.

So when I heard of his sad passing my thoughts were "That God needs someone to cheer them all up,in the

    Cellestrial zone.

Another strange thing is that I have now done all the boardgames now and have moved on to writing a book

now you might think here we go another spin but one of my "Ultimate Research

Conclusions" is just as Jeremy said and I only heard it tonight on his tribute programme, was

WE ALL HAVE TO PAY BACK SOME RENT ON EARTH......

You dont know just how true that statement is........I believe he must have earned his wings in doing his work

and saving so many young lives.......

Here is one of my poems which just came into my head a few years ago.....I sure it was sent to me just as

    Jeremy was to help many.

Dont forget him carry on with his good work....just like his unique programes, he will be still watching YOU

Sincere condolences to Jeremy's family.  He will be missed but remembered for his talent, warmth and humour and also (which I didn't know) his enormous charity fundraising.  Just goes to show, as per a previous post, he did this quietly without expecting recognition in return.  "Non verba, Sed facta"  Not words but deeds.

    Rest Well.

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

It was with both great sadness and many fond memories that I watched the ITV tibute to Jeremy last night, I as so many people of my age grew up watching Jeremy's TV pranks, infact my first memory of TV is Game for a laugh! I also had no idea just how enormous his charity fund raising was, for one person to raise £100 million is the most amazing acheivement, and an acheivement that has been so under rewarded! I beleive we should now be morning the passing of Sir Jeremy Beadle! A true gentleman, a jenious but above all, an honest, kind, hard working man who gave so much to so many and never expected any recognition or praise in return.

R.I.P Jeremy, gone but never forgotten!

the man was a national tresure and im sure in a strange way the nation probelly feels like theyve lost a loveble tv uncle bit like a piece of furniture in a home, and only until its gone do you realise that the home looks that much more drabe and dull without it he will be sorley missed and im sure his legacy of tireless charity work and great tv will stay in our hearts and minds for years to come

may flights of angel bring him to a peaceful rest within the kingdom of GOD

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

I have heard all the rubbish jokes etc. about Jeremy, but do you know what, the world is a lot poorer without this guy. I am just an insignificant member of the public who occasionally watches TV. He was a great TV maker and I hope he rests in the knowledge that he made a lot of people happy with his shows God Bless.

    Re: Jeremy Beadle 1948-2008

Jeremy Beadle will, of course, be widely remembered for his hilarious TV work on Game for a Laugh, Beadles About and You've Been Framed. I can remember Saturday nights where my entrie family and i almost couldnt breathe because we found his stunts so funny. Just sitting here typing this is bringing back memories of when they tricked that poor lady that aliens had landed in her back garden!!!!!!! Jeremy was, in my personal opinion, a truley great, un-selfish individual and this backed up by his huge work for charity which, deservedly so, earned him an MBE.

I would like to wish Jeremy's family my deepest sympathy at this difficult time and im sure you will agree when i say that Jeremy Beadle will not be forgotton!
