Yes very funny, I do watch the show you know!

She did get knocked down by a lorry, but if my memory serves me correctly, Matt was watching from his car.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

Herby do you watch the show?

It was always pretty obvious from the start Matt got rid of Grace. From the phonecall he made in the office to the amazingly well-timed phonecall he made to Carl which stopped him ending up dead.

There was also the clue that when he was talking to Jimmy, he said ''oh yeah I was driving the van'' - when no-one mentioned a van!

    So chocolatecherry is very serious!

I don't personally see how it can come out, unless Matt spills the beans!

Good to see his softer (well soft for Matt!) side with his way of ''asking'' Jimmy to stay in the business!

    Thanks Jo! Smile

Things only happen in soaps for a reason, nobody can have a secret, it has to come out in the end, I don't know how, but I think it will somehow.

Grace was going to upset the King applecart, so she had to go.

    Oh come off it!

How on earth did the idiot manage to time when and where that lorry would be driving and if Grace would just walk into the middle of the road without Carl..

It is absurd to think that Grace's accident was anything more than her own stupdity or that someone as thick and stupid as Matthew would play a part in it.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

What? We are watching the same show right?

Matthew is hardly an idiot or thick.

I can't believe people do not see it was Matt. Matt hired someone to run down grace!! So the van was probably watching to see what Grace and Carl were doing then made the move, the same with Matt ringing Carl. Funny it was called an accident when the van didnt stop???????? More murder inquiry isn't it? Which on another point the writers seem to have forgotten about.

How did the driver know Grace would step out in front of the vehicle and the driver pulled over. If Matthew hired someone, he'd have gone for a proper hitman and not some two bit lorry driver. Think.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

    Thank you, Vader

Matthew perfers to threaten people and scare them. I don't think he would actually hire a hitman to kill anyone

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

The van never pulled over. It was a hit and run.

Matt was behind it I am convinced one way or another.

    Think. << Just rude.

Ooooh it's getting good now all this heated debate!

Come on Vader stay with us you know he did it!!

Think.......... they are walking one way, to the cop shop, one road to cross, only one way to go.

His phone goes, he answers it and stops walking, she wants him to turn himself in, so when he stops walking with her she turns around and then not looking at the road, Oh no Grace watch that truck, too late she is dog meat!

It was a chance thing a last ditch attempt before they got to the cop shop, hiring a hit man (by that I take it you mean to have her shot in the street?) that is more suspect, a hit and run looks more random, could have been anyone stepping out in front of a lorry.  Having somebody shot, it's meant for that person, too many questions get asked, this way it's taken as an accident that the driver then bricked it and drove off, ergo Matty gets away with it........ for now at least!

Top and bottom of it is this, it is a soap, don't think it can stand up to massive scrutiny, you just have to watch TV Burp to see the holes all over them, it written quick and churned out sausage style.

Come on Vader you want him to get his comeuppance, well here it is!

Actually the driver pulled over IIRC. He was one of the people [along with other police] checking on her. He was shown briefly because the camera cut to Carl getting hysterical.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

That's right, John. But there seems to be a desire to see Matthew as some sort of super villain when he's just a gutless wimp who can only achieve that sort of tag by being sly. Crushing a coffin and beating his brother with a golf club. Time to get rid of this silly little man.

    Re: Pathetic Matthew

Too be honest for someone who doesnt even watch the show you seem to know a lot.

Matt is one of the best characters in Emmerdale at the minute (in my opinion-please note that), am starting to really *** Jimmy as well, but I certainly have no desire to see Matt as a super villain at all. And a silly little man he is not.

Isn't getting someone else to do your dirty work sly?

Pretty obvious we are not going to agree on this so can we just agree to disagree? :)

I only switched off in March... hardly a year has gone by, I know it's still predictable rubbish.
