Very sad to hear of Clive's passing. A much loved tv star, who felt like a friend after all these years. Thinking of his family at this sad time. Let's hope you can still watch the show wherever you are Clive. Rest in peace. Elaine.

Clive Hornby´s caracter, Jack Sugden, will be missed in Swedish television too. I was really saddend when I read the news today in the Swedish paper Aftonbladet. Jack Sugden was the "salt of the earth" in Emmerdale. 

I extend my deepest sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues on the show.

Rest in piece Clive.

My Late mother use to watch Emmerdale many years ago,and he was her favorite.Another

great name from Liverpool.May he join the other great names from Liverpools List.

I was so so sad and cried a lot when i heard about Clive passing away. I love the show and Clive just made it for me as my ex boyfriend is a farmer and it always brought back memories just watching "Jack".

My thoughts are with Clive's family and friends at this sad time. He was a fabulous actor and will be missed by many.

I remember when Andrew Burt played the part of Jack, he did'nt quite look the part. When Clive took the part on, he really took him on, and played the part well. You would think that he was a farmer. "Grumpy, Grouchy and tight fisted with money"

Emmerdale will never be the same again without Clive Hornby. He will be missed.

I hve been worried about (jack) Clive for weeks i have really missed him, i was really sad to read that he had did. My heart goes out to all of his family, I have watched |Emmerdale for as long as i can remmember, i used to watch it in the afternoons,i thorght jack was a sexy young man and i didnt change my mind a he got olde , he will be sadley missed,

What can i say I met Clive for the first time at the Emmerdale Fan Club Weekend at Weetwood Hall Hotel in Leeds in 2001 and then again in 2004 and a very pleasant man he was. I had 2 photographs with him and i have those memories with me. My Dads 3rd anniversary was on June 28th last. He was not ill or anything i spoke with him on the phone the day before he died little did i know he would be dead the next day from a massive heart attack. I know how his family are feeling now and my heartfelt sympathys go to them and pray that they will get through this.

Im sure the cast and crew at Emmerdale are feeling the same pain of losing a friend and colleague.

May you rest in peace Clive and thanks for the memories of your time in Emmerdale.

Clive (Jack Sugden) to most will be sadly missed by all.

Just shows how good his acting was in emmerdale being the the longest serving actor in the show.

Hi i was very deeply shocked and saddened that Clive has died.

 He was a brilliant actor and one of my favourite actors in emmerdale.

Its a shame his life has been cut short. I just want to offer my deepest condolescences to the family at such a difficult time.

Have been an Emerdale fan since the beginning and now living in Australia miss being able to watch but get regular updates wherever and whenever I can [Why can't I download from overseas?].  Was really sad to hear about Clive Hornby - I always thought he looked a bit like Neil Diamond.  Send my best wishes to his family.
