    Re: Danyl on X Factor

    i couldnt agree more!

how the hell can louis sit there saying that Danyl needs to become less cocky and hes not likable enough, when he has cocky talentless twins, edward and john...and dirty nobodys 'kandy rain'.....

danni needs to appoligise to poor Danyl after making him feel stupid on stage! Its jealously, thats all...Danyl has more talent in his little finger then plastic danni will ever have!

and even cheryl had no right to judge him when she has two of the weakest singers in the contest!

lets be honest....all three of them are jealous of the fact that simon clearly has the winning act!

Danni should be fired. In any other walk of life-her comments would merit disciplinary action as a minimum.

It was shocking to hear her -and for Danyl it must have been horrid. It was embarrassing, homophobic and underhand. His performance was amazing-irrespective of his sexuality!

She must have lost her mind to think that in this day and age its okay to make ridiculous statements like she did.

I would expect some sort of public apology on the live show tonight

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

I would like to complain, about the appalling comments made by Danni Minogue on last nights X Factor show regarding Danyl's sexuality.  Embarrassingly for Dannii it exposed her homophobia which has no place in our society, and was highly inappropriate on a family show.  ITV must take the responsible postion and deal with such discrimination appropriately. In my view she has brought the program into disrepute.

Spoiled a great evening's entertainment, lots of talent, lots of potential, needs leadership now from Simon or ITV.

Can we possibily keep viewing until 9.30 p.m. on a Saturday Night appropriate for the family.

    A concerned parent!

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

I couldn't believe what I was hearing from Danni.  Her comments were outrageous and uncalled for.  I don't care if she claims that she was joking, her comments just came across as pure bitchiness.

I felt so sorry for Danyl.  He had just given an amazing performance only to be attacked with comments of cockiness and a slur about his sexuality.  Louis is a fine one to talk about cockiness, after all he put the awful twins through who are the most arrogant pair I have ever seen on TV.

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

I have already emailed ITV about Danni's remarks which whilst they are in support of her non-entities were none the less a sign of jealousy and homophobia.

The remarks about the girl bands seamy past life were also totally irrelevant but the fact remains is that they can't sing.

I'm waiting to see of Ms Minogue apologises tonight and, if she doesn't, I will complain to Ofcom.

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

nice work everyone for writing on this post, what danni said last night danyl was just completely outrageous and completely innappropriate. he did the best performance of the night and left crying which is completely unfair. it doesnt matter if he is gay, straight, bi or otherwise, danni is only there to judge him on his singing abilities and she should have had nothing to say other than praise. she needs to make a serious public apology tonight or she should be asked to leave.

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

i completely agree. there should be no space on television for this kind of cheap, snidey homophobia.  x factor has a young audience and i hate to think how any young gay man or woman, sitting there watching with their parents must have felt. danni should be sacked, its as simple as that.

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

I am still fuming about last nights X Factor!!!!This is supposed to be a family show and to make references of this nature which is totally irrelevant ,they keep saying it is a singing competition and dispite Danyl  doing the most outstanding performance of the night ,they have to rain on this poor guys parade and try to embarass him in front of the nation.Danni's comments were totally out of context and my partner and I did not even know what she was talking about and now the whole world knows.

Surprise Surprise we don't all live in the X Factor bubble and don't read or belive everything that is written in the papers and just want  to watch some  light hearted entertainment on a sat night. If not an appropriate apology is given tonight, i do think she should be removed. This is a prime time show and parents shouldn't have to explain to kids what is going on or what Danni "means" no wonder are society is in a mess, when you can't even respect the people you put in front of the camera or what they are going to say!!!

As for Louis saying that he is not like able we've barely seen the guy.Stop fuelling our brains and just judge the competition fairly!!!

Good Luck Danyl you deserve to win you are a natural talent who deserves a break

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

Danni Manogue was a one hit wonder and making the homophobic comments she made last night was not only nasty but could easily damage Danyls future. She should be removed from the panel as she hasn't a clue.

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

You are so right in what you have said, if it had been discrimination against race or religion, she would not be sitting in her seat judging acts again, what is wrong with her?

An apology does not go far enough, she should never be allowed to work in television again. That was the most disgusting underhanded thing I have ever heard.I can honestly say, I have never complained about anything on the television before but I feel so passionate about this, I could not let it go by without commenting.

How dare Danni Minogue believe she is so perfect she has a right to judge anyone, her JOB is to judge talent, not make personal comments about someone sexuality, talk about overconfident, does she think she is untouchable?

We have lost a wonderful lad, a member of a wonderful group today Steven Gateley, he was a singer, a professional, which is more than Danni has been or ever could be and by the way Dannii, he was gay.

Danyl you have nothing to feel ashamed about but Dannii Minogue should never be able to lift her head up again. Simon, you fought Danyl's corner on the screen last night, now fight the corner for all gay and bi-sexual individuals and SACK HER!

I will also be complaining to OFCOM.

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

I would never normally do this but I have written to Ofcom and suggust we all do it .It was disgusting behavior from Danni especially belittling him on the stage like this on HIS special moment and Louis started it to, his critism was not constructive but nasty this behavior to another human being in front of millions is not except able. This is supposed to be a singing competition they should not be discussing sexuality on prime time TV.

I have been outraged all day aghhhhhh Danni better have some big apology up her sleeve or she best just go.

I do have to agree that Danni's comments were inappropriate but I think this whole thing has been blown out of all proportion.  It seems like it's wrong to pass comment on Danyl being too 'cocky'  but yet it seems like you kiki think it's o.k to say the same things about The Grimes Twins and Kandy Rain.  What the twins have had to go through this week has been disgraceful.  Haven't heard any complaints about Simon's remark to Louis that he only put the twins through because they were Irish.

Danyl is good but certainly not the best contestant based on last nights performance.  IMO  he does think that he is better than he actually is. With all this publicity he is sure to go through tonight.  If I were him I would prefer to be put through based on my performance rather than 'the sympathy' vote.

The twins and Daniel are in two different leagues, I do not do newspapers so I wasnt uptodate with what they went through, but I found their criticisms on the twins also stomach churning, Cole was out of order with them in a major way.

It isnt your fault your are there, someone needs to send that toilet attending beater packing. No offence, if simon can employ someone like her after what see did to that black toilet cleaner, then I guess Danii can keep her job. A few outing unprofessional comments is much different from drunken GBH and full on nasty words!

    Re: Danyl on X Factor

I don't believe an apology is good enough

To use The Xfactor and live television to do such a nasty and bitchy thing (schoolyard bully comes to mind) shows she hasn't got any place to be thier judging peoples futures

Mr Cowell should Axe her immediately, and until such a time I will not watch the show

Only say Good Luck Daryl and treat Danni as you would any spoilt babies you may have the misfortune to have to teach
