Is it just me who thinks the whole thing was a set up?  Strictly hogs the headlines for a week so Cowell gets Dannii to "out" Danyl on the first show.  He was already outed in the papers. Cowell even got her to repeat the comment for maximum affect. To me its just a PR stunt to win back the limelight from SCD.

Danni has consistently been the only judge not to curry favour or seek the support of the baying crowd. Admittedly the statement made and the context in which it was made seemed out of character there fore all the more surprising,  i.m sure you would agree. Danni your genuine interest for all contests and refusal to rise to petty jibes marks you apart.... stay that way dont change you are beautiful.......I.ve got your back lady!!!!!

I am totally disgusted that such blatent homophobic comments can be acceptable on UK TV.

 A half hearted apology on Sunday evening does not mean it should be swept under the carpet. I appreciate there is a contract in place and 'any publicity is good publicity' etc. however if this woman is ever allowed another contract on British Televison then I think every single person watching should seriously look at their own beliefs as clearly we are then accepting that homophobia is indeed endemic in todays society and is therfore socially acceptable on a Saturday evening when the vaste amount of the British population are enjoying 'family time television'!

Shame on her............dare I suggest bring back Sharon Osbourne- atleast she knew what she was talking about and offered constructive learned comments!

Storms will always pass Danni keep your perspective on this. your apology was graceful and honest...take care of you....if any of the complainers have never made a mistake i'd be very surprised....by the way your sensitivity shone out wearing a subdued black dress while your fellow judge as usual worked the attention in a little gold number apparently showing little respect for the death of a lovely man other than to lower her eyelashes  and cover her teeth up just for a change and for a very short couple of seconds..Class will always show...it does every week as you sit there....

For such a comment to come from a fellow performer and a struggling one at the beginning of HER career she should be sacked!!!!  yes Austraila used to be part of the British empire but surely Sharon Osbourne or any other talented female - and we have plenty - should be drafted in to replace....as I always say .... attack the strongest so your own win .... just shown YOUR true colours Danni

I've just got to say that what louis, cheryl and danni said about danyl being 'over confident' on saturday night was completely wrong . . Danyl was in no way 'over confident' - he was just awesome and by far the best and most professional performance of the night! All the judges are always saying how the contestants have got to be more confident and believe in themselves - then one comes along and they slate him!! Louis was also talking rubbish when he said Danyl didn't have the likability factor - everyone loves him - did he not hear the reaction from the crowd after his performance??! And can he honestly say that the annoying twins are more likable than Danyl! You wonder sometimes whether these judges know anything
