Hey David. I'm well impressed with the lingo, where did you get all that from?

Yeah Mary, LOL, I think David's a closet Scot!!!! Big Smile (although I WILL need to insist that he gets rid of the "knotted hanky"......that particular fashion accessory is most definitely confined to English folk!!!)  Either that or he's been practicing his Scottish lingo - although, David, possibly best to stick to one dialect at a time!!! LOL!!! Big SmileBig Smile

As for Andy Murray, yeah, I did laugh at the fact that as soon as he started doing really well, the rest of Britain were 'fans'!!! WinkBig Smile

And David, Billy DID also mention the "being on the beach with the welly marks on the legs" - that must've been "June" he was talking about!!!! LOL!!!! Big Smile

Am heading to beddybyes now - been a long day!!! Didn't sleep much last night and was then woken by an Orange Walk just after 8am!!! Was NOT a happy bunny!!!!!!

    Night all!!!! Sleep

Hi Joanna.  o.k. we'll claim the knotted handkerchief, that definitely belongs to the English but David if you are reading this you cannot wear one on the horse and cart that's definitely a no no.

    Hi, Anne!

I just came on, saw you were here and then you disappeared - sorry I missed you.

I certainly do remember my time in the library but hopefully it's a little more civilised at your hotel - and it's lovely to hear from you. I had a strong feeling your foot was far from being healed and it seems I was right - but I hope it's not causing you too much distress.

And if you come on here again maybe you can give us your opinion of Torquay - I place I've never been to. I just hope you're enjoying the hotel half as much as Hilary's enjoying the one she's staying at in Sicily - she loves the place.

The weather's about to change up here but I very much hope it stays fine and sunny for a good while longer down there where you are.

All the best to you, Anne - and give my regards to both Laura and Amy, too (I think I have all your names right this time!) Smile

    Positively outrageous! (such sensitive ears!)

Glad to hear that, wardy03 - you'll always find a welcome here.

Just don't every worry about duplications and the like - it happens all the time.

    I blame Joanna! Wink Smile

Super! - pity Roddick  (a Yankee!)

Yes, what a great match, Joanna - I really felt for Roddick, he was clearly gutted at getting so very close. He really didn't put a foot wrong - in the end it came down to just a few points in a match lasting over four hours. But all credit to Federer - he's certainly a class act.
