Thinking of Clive and his family, such sad news, he will be deeply missed by us all...He was my favourite  character on Emmerdale..

My husband told me 2 day's ago of the death of clive hornby, very chocked up a brilliant actor with a lot of love for his work , will miss seeing him on the tele remmeber watching as a young girl, growing up watching emmerdale has always made me feel happy, wish his family and his work friends, all the the happiness that clive gave them, and to remember the good times they had with him.xx

i can't believe that Clive Hornby (jack) has passed away, my deepest sympathy to his family and friends, i hope Emmerdale will do a special tribute to a great man that has been with me and many others for years,

What a gracious gentle person. So many families face this horrific trauma on a daily basis. He chose to do so with quiet dignity, despite his celebrity status.. For this alone he deserves a huge amount of respect. He will be sadly missed in the Emmerdale cast.

He will be missed by the millions. PLEASE PLEASE send him of from the show he loved and we loved watching him in with grace and even the humour he was so good at. We all want to remember him with that smile that could melt many a heart old and young that man had the knack. God bless another star in the sky.

So upset about loosing such a great actor as Clive, I have always enjoyed watching Clive play Jack and he was always my favourite character, (reminded me of my own father).

I have clear memories of crying as a young girl because Jack and Joe had argued over whether they should harvest the crop, and they didn't, and a giant downpoor of rain ruined the crop, and Jack was devastated!   With his great acting ability he made viewers feel as though they knew him and he will be very greatly missed. x

I too was pleased that Clive was given a mention after the episode.  I was most upset to hear the news of Clive's death.  I for one, shall miss seeing him on Emmerdale, and my thoughts go out to his family and colleagues at this very sad time.

I´m sorry to hear about Jack,

I live in Sweden and we are slightly after in the show, we just saw shows from 2005.

My mind is with Jack anyway. Rip.

Wonderful tribute to Clive Hornby on Tuesday 20th February, his family (if they were able to watch) must have felt very proud and I hope satisfied that 'Jack's' send-off was handled so well.
