Re: Lewis Hamilton and the bottle....
champalonso:LOL What a thread! Been in forum rehab for 3 whole days and this has got to be the funniest thread for ages. Honestly the hypersensitivity on this forum where anything Lewis is concerned has got even worse. Poor Kevin only made a harmless observation. I've noticed this about Lewis too, but then I have noticed things about other drivers and commentators, but these observations aren't criticisms. Here's an example: whenever Jenson is being interviewed he can't keep eye contact for long, he's always glancing to the side as if there is something much more interesting to be doing elsewhere (and no doubt there is). I also made a joke comment to hubby about Kimi in his shades. Yes I know it was because of the blazing sun, but I jokingly said it was because he'd been up all night on the p...! Only a joke and I hope a lot of irate Kimi fans aren't going to get all offended.
Yeah but it's not Kevin people have been arguing with is it?! You're telling me that if Jax was having a pop at Alonso for something similar you'd stay quiet and say nothing?

Re: Lewis Hamilton and the bottle....
Coops the first replies were directed at Kevin - the OP - and we all know which ardent LH fan took great offence to the OP. He/she says loads of heteful things against Alonso - and now Vettel too of all people - but it doesn't bother me - that's his/her opinion.
Jax has her opinion too, a bit extreme I know, but she's entitled to it. The fact is this all started because certain LH fans took exception to Kevin's harmless post.

Doesn't there have to be a joke before people can be accused of not having a sense of humour?!
Yes, but also, not being able to see the funny side of something would also fall under the category.

What exactly is funny about people critisising someone for no good reason . Yes the op was just a harmless observation and I did see the funny side at first but after three pages of bashing by some pretty opinionated people it stoped being funny and started to become ridiculous . Let's not forget this was all started because someone thought Hamilton should put his health at risk by not taking on fluids after a long hot race absolutely unbelievable .

My reply was just in general about the nature of humour, not about people critissing someoe for no good reason.
But your reply, and in particular the highlighted bit, clearly shows who is making an elephant out of nothing. You do not seriously think that anybody puts his health at risk because his fluid intake is delayed by 10 minutes or his sweat is running freely down his body? What would have happened if there was another SC period and Hamilton had to stay in the car for another 10 minutes? He could have died according to your words, or would be seriously disabled at least. You must be joking. And all that melodramatic scientification of a harmless habit and observation of it. I do suggest you have your humour organ checked out. Seriously.

Okay first reply didnt get through!
By the way this post is as stupid as hell!!!!!!
Could he have a water bottle as anyone in fitness would know the first thing anyone needs to do is replenish ones system, to flush out toxins? Help the muscles to recover? to cool down? to avoid nose bleeds? Headaches? Muscle spasms? and oh yeah a host of other reasons why it is good to drink straight away after a sternuous workout!
Could it also been because he has just completed a whole race, isnt on the podium drink champers, and the in the press conference with a lovely cool orange aid infront of him!
Maybe just maybe, someone can put a word in for you the next time they bump into Lewis Hamilton after a highly competitive race.....and the word could be, put your anatomy at risk, because some ****head doesnt like to see you drinking after a race LOLOL
Of all the complaints in all of the world, this one has to go down as the worst to date!
I think the point the original poster was making - is that it just looks 'posie' and is done for effect. as he/she says no one else does it, its just ham .....
............ could be a posie thing.........or could be the equivalent of a Teddy Bear and comfort blanket
you have hit the nail on the head, I would never have thought of that one, - well done

I think the point Kevin is missing with his first post is this.
Whilst Lewis was being interviewed and congratulated on the positioning of his designer towel and the creative drape effect and open display of penny earning potential because the drinks bottle is as yet unsponsored, we could clearly hear the podium ceremony taking place somewhere once frequented but now forgotten.
The reason you have not seen Sebastian and Jenson being interviewed in their post race rehydration is that they have been busy receiving trophies this year, and as podium achievers are allowed to rehydrate with champagne.
Whilst I am sure Lewis will be thrilled to bits with the likes of TC and Jax70 swooning over his coolness and such trend setting aesthetic. I am equally sure they both will be happy to see his smiling face being arrogant in defeat being deemed special enough to receive immediate post race interview for even a 6th position than see him standing where he stood for most of the first two years of his career.
At least Lewis is allowed to stand still, last 5 years whenever Jenson was congratulated for yet another fine dismal performance by Louise G, Jenson would insist on walking, oh yes If I remember always with bottle tube feeder in and out of mouth.
Of course if you only ever watch Lewis and everything he does and says, like TC and Jax70, then how clever of you to notice the only real change in his actions this year.
Different to previous years, drivers must now make themselves available after each qualifying and the race. If they want to avoid a penalty the days of sulking in the motorhome or disappearing from the circuit are over.
macaw - how astute you are, I am just confounded as to why the towel needs to be there in the first place. If you read other threads on this site you will how people are commenting on how ham was not even in a sweat on finishing the race, so why the towel ? maybe he needed to keep warm in the 38deg temp. as for the drinks bottle, I have no doubt that he needs to re-hydrate but why not not just put it behind his back whilst being spoken to and replying, basic good manners really...only a small matter that Kev bought to our attention but isn't it getting some air time.....
lol! Confounded about a towel!
Honestly this bashing has gone too far when a driver can't even have a drink and wipe the sweat of his face after a long ' hot ' tyreing race ' without being critisised for it unbelievable!!!
exactly how far has your sense of humour fallen ?
When people criticise for no other reason than the driver needs a drink after the race and has a towel around his neck . Then yes I have had a sense of humour failure . This driver bashing has been taken too far there is nothing funny about hatefull people slateing others for no good reason.
OK

On scouts honour, I wasnt arguing, I was just laying down the facts. It was the most stupidest of all complaints in the world because people are hypersensitive about anything Lewis does or say....come of it Champ, you used to say Lewis was a robot and WHINGE about him smiling too much.
As a fitness instructor who always has a towel and a bottle at ready and defiantly not for reason untowardts like posing. The bottle and towel is something unconsiously used innately, that is because anyone who cares about their health knows the body needs fuilds throughout ones workout and immediately after. Rather than glupping water down...water is best taken zipped as thirst is a sign of the body in dehydration which no one should allow their bodies to get into a state off...it messes around with your hormones and homostatis which regulates ones hormones.
Of course their are a millions of reasons why the human body needs water after a strenuous workout, hormones, organs, muscles etc and I thought it was best to explain some...that is all.
The post was written in ignorance, then after a decent explantion (with typos of course) to why Lewis is seen drink water after a race...it appeared it still wasnt good enough for his bashers....hence, why this post has lingered....like sweat that hasnt been wiped off with a towel and left to smell as the contamination of bacteria hasnt been cleaned off on time....Yes...some dared say Lewis went through all that downforce, heat, pushing and concentrating and didnt sweat....well I know YOU think Lewis is a Robot champ...but not sweating after a race in that compact space...now that is taking the mega deluded biscuit LOLOLOL P.S why am I to blame for such a stupid post, I didnt create it, I only answered to it!

HAMILTON IS A BIG DEAL TO EVERYONE!

He can even make a towel and a bottle of water worth moaning about for some people.

Aname, of course you're not to blame for the OP, but have a look at your reply. Nothing wrong with your excellent knowledge of fitness stuff, but why did you take the OP as a bash against Hamilton when it wasn't? It was many of the following comments as well all so mortally offended by what was a very harmless OP that led to my comment that some LH fans are hypersensitive. Yes I have called him a robot lol and I still do wonder sometimes......only joking. Anyway sorry to single you out, only really did that to highlight to coops that it doesn't bother me too much (anymore lol) when people *** off Alonso.

Yes, I hear that a lot when kids argue. The point is nobody questioned or criticised Hamilton for doing it until you turned up.
And btw, you might get away with your pseudo sports science in your little gym, it adds nothing to the forum and completely misses the case of F1 drivers.
