Oh please bring Zoie back to the manor but with a stronger will to suceed, and take away the lebanism out
There's nothing wrong with the Lebanese! Or lesbianism, for that matter ;)
I was sad to see Lily go, as she is the sort of person I would want to be when I was that age - vivacious, still full of life and not afraid to do new things even though she is what many people would call 'over the hill'.
Edna annoys me most of the time, but I like the way that she sticks up for the King family, although I did find it very OCC that she wasn't chastising Carl [ba-dum CHA!] for the way he behaved with Chas.
Personally I would like to see Faye go. She has served her purpose and I can't see the storyline developing much further for her IMHO. There are two ways that this could go - either she gets with Cain and gets over Mark, or Natasha leaves and Faye has won. Seeing as she's still in love with Mark I doubt the former will happen, and if the latter occurs Mark is likely to leave too, rendering Faye's whole 'plan' pointless. As much as he is beginning to get to know Ryan and develop paternal feelings for him, he made up a whole other life to be with Natasha - not something you're going to do unless you're absolutely certain that you love someone!
Also Brenda should leave - she has no real value in the village except as Terry's love interest, although now she's bought into the cafe it's unlikely she'll go anywhere. Her interaction with Viv is annoying as well, and I think that Viv should have stayed away - her character hasn't been updated to include her experiences in prison particularly. Even though she was innocent, that would have made an impact on her, like it has with the other characters - Andy became violent and Debbie matured leaps and bounds.
Victoria needs to grow out of these temper tantrums that she has, because all it does it make her a whiney, insufferable brat that needs a clip round the ear everytime she is downright rude and insulting to the people that are trying to help her. Can she get sent to boarding school, please?
Katie has long served her purpose. So far (and I've probably missed a few because I stopped watching for a while) she has been with Andy, Robert, Grayson, Lee, Nathan and Ryan - the last four in a very short period of time! She also tried it on with Johnny before she even knew anything about him other than the fact that he was the farrier. People are calling Chas a tramp, but take at look at the company she keeps! I know that no young woman is going to pick one guy and settle for him, but could she at least branch out a bit, perhaps try Leeds, Hotten, even Robblesfield for a man - she might find one she likes enough to keep for longer than five minutes that way!
Scarlett can probably stay in Canada with her mum, because there's nothing for her to stay for now - wasn't the only reason she stayed before to get to know her brothers and Daz? Now Daz has gone, and she hates Carl, there doesn't seem to be anything for her to stay for. Plus she seems to be going a bit bratty, and I know most teenagers are difficult, but honestly, some of them are just caricatures of stereotypes.
The other characters that people want out I think are actually okay in small doeses, because they provide a sense of realism and variety which is true to life. I'm actually quite enjoying seeing David struggle to find the balance between working for the community as a councillor and remaining honest and normal.
My other half is also adding Moira, Nicola and the Spodes to the mix, although I'm quite looking forward to seeing what happens with their storyline.
