Re: hamilton to help design his next car.

Going to go at this one blind, starting to read the thread and got bored due to the ongoing ''he is the best'' ''no he isnt'' arguments.

Is it not true to say that, yes he will play a big role in the development of the new car but is it also not true to say that Heiki will also play the same role in the development of the new car ?

Is that not how every team does their development ? I could understand if Alonso was giving more input into the development of the Renault over Piquet Jnr.

At the end of the day they are 'Teams' and without eachother there would be no car at all !

Hope i havent repaeated anybody due to my laziness of not reading the thread but I just cant be bothered..Big Smile

Hey, I thought this thread was about Lewis and his help in designing ? not developing next years car.

I for one would be very interested  in seeing a driver designed F1 car.

Firstly, how many drivers actually know much about chassis design, suspension design, pickup points for the suspension, geometry, holy crap the list goes on and on.

I've read loads of books on design of open wheel race cars,( I'm gonna build one for the fun of it), but I'm not expecting to do anything with it but crash.

If there ever was a driver who may have known, I would have to give the knod to Michael Schumacher.

But still, driver designed F1? I bet there would be a lot of retirements and crashing and the all too missed overtaking.LOL

    cheers

i know it's about hamilton but this alonso fan wants to turn it into an alonso afair.

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

I used Alonso, Schumacher and Coulthard as main reference points. You ended up trying, yes TRYING to discredit proof inwhich has come from many of the paddocks mouths regarding not just Fernando, but you just pinpoint him because your a complete fanboy of lewis who is completely perfect and never lied yet admitted he did.

So, I suggest YOU trying to act the innocent party, because anyone with a brain cell can read your previous posts which are provocative and to some can be considered derrogative of truth, to try and back your insanly stupid views.

come on, if there has been so much proof, you can surely find something about it on the net. i have looked but can't find any but i will not claim there isn't any because i am not the best person at looking for information on line. it would be a lot easier if you provided a link so we can all have a look.

What is this proof that you so desperately crave?

i have asked you several times for a link to your claims so you should know what the proof is. post a link which will confirm what you are saying.

Sorry, for some odd reason the video on both ITV's and the BBC's web pages won't play in western Canada.

    And that's BSNo

Assuming that there has been such a statement, it sounds to me as if it has originated with some sort of spin doctor trying to rescue Hamilton's reputation.

i am so sorry you are not able to see the video. it is of onboard shots of hamilton and alonso battling for position. in the first clip, onboard hamilton alonso makes a mistake as hamilton bears on him and goes completely off circuit, quickly cutting back across the circuit, forcing hamilton off track at top speed. hamilton returns to the track but careful enough to allow heidfeld go passed him safely on the outside.

in the next clip, onboard hamilton, breezes passed alonso in a couple of high speed corners.

in the final clip as hamilton bears down on alonso, he goes off line to the left and opportunistic hamilton pounced on him side by side, they went through woodcote and on approach to copse corner at top speed, alonso powers ahead by about a cars length only for hamilton to outclass him under breaking in the inside and emerged ahead beautifully described by david eddie jordon and david coulthard.

sorry this is all i could do in describing it.

there has been such a statement and it is no spin on it. why are you so quick to judge something you have not even seen? here's the link http://www.itv-f1.com/news_article.aspx?id=46267

    it's an interview with hamilton.

Re: hamilton to help design his next car.

Well there's nothing in that article to suggest that Lewis is going to help to actually design the car.

Like all drivers, during development he'll be giving the engineers feedback regarding how the car 'feels' and the engineers and designers will be working on ways to improve the performance - but that's not the same as designing it himself!

So just who is it that's spreading lies then?

hamilton did say that heikki would play the same role and that is not a speculation, it is in the article http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?id=46267

about alonso and pique is just your speculation. if alonso was so great in developing a car he would do it again this season. renaults development in 08 was a fluke. anyone who is good at anything will do it time and time again.

hahaha, If they think Lewis is a genius on the basis of him not hitting one little red pole this guy must be a demi-god.
