    Re: THE FIVE LETTER GAME

    Hi everyone,

When OLLY,S wins the x factor, will OUR LUCKY LEPRECHAUN YELL SHAME ?

Whilst not being in any way qualified to judge, I do expect Olly to win. (Fancy another bet David?) Smile

Sorry, Hilary, but the 'winning smile' wont be enough to carry your boy through.!

Anne, if you are still hoping for the twins to win, I can only admire your tenacity.!

As far as I am aware, Sheena and Mary are just spectating and haven't made a choice yet.?

    Sheena,

It's good to see you are managing to keep your spirit up. Any change in the ramipril dosage.? Do

keep us all informed, please.! David and I have a lot of making up to do at the next get together

as far as yourself is concerned Sheena.! Prepare yourself for lots of dancing and smoothies.!

    Re: THE FIVE LETTER GAME

HI WARDY.  I CAN'T MAKE MY MIND UP WHO I WANT TO WIN BUT I THINK IT WILL BE EITHER JOE OR STACEY.   I THINK IF THE TWINS WIN SIMON'S REACTION WOULD BE HILARIOUS HE HAS ALREADY THREATENED TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY IMMEDIATELY IF THEY WIN. MARY

    ... like your style! Yes

This is political manouvering of the highest order, Anne - reminiscent of Alastair Campbell at his best!

Never mind Ban Ki-moon, or whatever his name is - when the next vacancy comes up for Secretary General of the UN, I'm throwing your CV in the ring!

But I must confess this does nothing to diminish my sense of guilt - in fact, I feel honour bound to extend my apology not just to Sheena but to everyone else too - so, consider that done!

Maybe if Hilary had used one of Nigella's buns I might have taken more notice - what do you think, Anne? Wink

    Re: THE FIVE LETTER GAME

    Hi, Mary!

Thanks for the pullover - I'm not one for pullovers as a rule but wearing this over a large-check lumberjack shirt will be just the ticket for my log chopping duties at Christmas.

Although I can tell you from plenty of experience that five minutes of log chopping and you're as warm as toast on the coldest of winter days!

But it's not just the pullover but the thought behind it and the consideration for my well being that I'm most touched by.

    Thanks for this, Mary! Yes

    Hi Mary,

Simon is xfactor.! And whlst I don't have much time for him, I would rather listen to his comments any day than the twins singing.!! Smile

    Hi, Wardy!

The Japanese have an old saying that says there are two kinds of fool - those who have never climbed Mount Fuji and those who've climbed it twice! Smile

But I can resist anything but temptation and although for me, Olly is Joe's main threat, if I'm to even the score with you this looks like a decent enough bet.

Shall we say the winner gets the first dance with Sheena at Christmas?

    Re: THE FIVE LETTER GAME

    Hi David,

Sorry, but the first dance with Sheena is mine and I am not going to risk missing that.!!

As you are the resident musician on this thread I would be looking for odds on this one.!

It will have to be something a little more apetizing than those bland Hawick balls I can tell you.!

Last time, I knew I was on a winner, hence my big bag of uncle joes to tempt you into accepting.!

I will accept your two bottles of brown ale to my  one can of cider.! Smile

HI WARDY......THE FUNNY THING IS THAT I DON'T THINK THAT I EVER SAID THAT I WANTED THEM TO WIN.  THE WAY THAT THINGS ARE GOING I DO THINK THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT THEY MIGHT.  WHAT I WAS UPSET ABOUT WAS THE DREADFUL TREATMENT THAT THEY WERE RECEIVING.  IM MY HOUSE WE ARE TORN BETWEEN JOE AND OLLY WITH OLLY STARTING TO TAKE THE LEAD NOW.

SORRY HILARY.....BUT WE DON'T LIKE DANYL AT ALL.........I KNOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A SINGING COMPETITION BUT I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I AM SWAYED BY LOOKS AND PERSONALITY AND JOE AND OLLY CERTAINLY FIT THAT BILL. BY THE WAY IT'S GETTING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO TELL OLLY AND DERMOT APART....SAME SUITS NOW SAME HAIRCUT.

I HEAR THAT JLS ARE IN DUNDRUM ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON SO THAT SHOULD BE LOTS OF SCREAMING GIRLS THEN.

DAVID...WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO SAY WAS THAT HILARY HAD 'ORDERED' YOU TO LOOK AFTER THE DRINKS BUT I AM WAY TOO AFRAID OF HILARY TO SAY THAT.  Wink

SHEENA....I KNOW THAT IT'S A FEW DAYS LATE BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.....
