I was actually hoping to see McLaren build a rubbish car this year. I would love to see him in a slow car. That would be fantastic to watch. Then all the the front runners could refer to him as a monkey at the back.
If he keeps on pressing the wrong button at the starts, we will see him at the back of the grid.
In reality, it's Kimi who's seat will be under threat from Alonso, Kubica or anyone else that can actually drive faster the MS's old side kick.
LH simply needs to do less phycological thinking, which I suspect is the source of his reduced aggression, and get back to hard core racing - he has the fundamentals to win on merit.
Do you really think Ferrari will "sack" Kimi to have Alonso. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
It was MS who told Ferrari to go after Kimi and who still holds him as a true quick and talented driver. Also everyone at Ferrari is very happy with Kimi now he's settled in and it would appear that it's Massa who more than likely to get the "axe" at Ferrari. MS said it himself - "He's running out of jokers" in a recent interview

Massa was running out of jokers, but he's converted his pace back into a geniune win i.e. a win without team orders.
Kimi has yet to win without team orders, and is showing the kind of qualifying pace that a number two driver would put in.
Remembering 2007 was a political fluke, it certainly casts a heavy shadow doubt on Kimi's recent form...
Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against Kimi, but he's not doing the job he's being over paid for, and as a neutral observer, I would say Ferrari will be keen to sign up a new number one driver when the opportunity presents itself...

Do you know anything about F1? Have you listen to what the sports commentators say (when there no loathing after LH)? Have you watched the races and lasts year races?
By the looks of NO. Kimi likes to run with more fuel on board. That's why in quali he's behind Massa. Yes in Bahrian he had a problem but elsewere he likes to run heaver. Don't expect to see Kimi ahead in quali any time soon.

Kimi is still scratching his head on his lack of qualifying pace as we speak...

When did say that? I havn't seen that anywhere on internet. How come none of the commentators have mentioned it and why has no one said anything about it. Unless you can offer some kind of proof i'll have to put that down to just your theories.

That's shocking...
Massa has been out qualifying Kimi for a long time now... I would be very surprised if anyone missed it.
Kimi has mentioned he needs to work on improving his qualifying pace, which loosely translates to what I said above...

RE the lucky part is that although it would be easier for Kimi to take pole it is not necessary as he is capable of winning from anywhere on the grid so he hasnt got the pressure that Massa and LH have, it would appear that they have to be on the front row to win. It must be great to be in that position and of course we have got nowhere near half way in the season and Kimi is already leading, all he needs to do is keep his head down like he did last year and he will be World Champion for a second year I am sure you will wish him well.

The reality is that Massa won the last race, and should have finished ahead of Kimi in the first two, on pace alone.
Kimi is merely benefiting from others problems, much like last year...
I wish he would put down the gauntlet, and prove he deserves a win, without doubt, for a change.

The truth is Kimi won 2007 title unquestionably..LH and FM merely benefitted from Kimi's 1st half performance when he was strggling with MS-spec ferrari. Can you please remind me the scorecard since Kimi finally found this potential with the ferrari car? As far as I know, Kimi had the most points and race wins up to now.. If Kimi didnt deserve it then noone else deserves it better.

Please advise what you mean. Massa might be faster in qualifying that is normally because he is lighter. In the last race using some of your logic about team orders, is it not possible because of the pressure put on Massa Kimi was told to hold back and let him win. If you remember one of Kimis pit stops was a bit dodgy uncharacteristic of Ferrari who are usually on the button I am sure if it had been LH you would have been shouting 'foul' .
Oh so Kimi is benefiting from other drivers problems - what is he supposed to do stop on the track and give them a hand? you must be joking everyone is out for themselves and their teams, Kimi is keeping his head down and doing his job and is leading the championship table through his own efforts. He did the same last season and it showed in the end when he won the WDC against all the odds and Maclaren.
Kimi has proved himself to me and all his other fans, he suffered time and time again with the poor reliability of the Maclaren and it was fantastic to see him triumph last year.

Re: Does anyone hope LH never wins a title!??
Isn't this thread supposed to be about whether or not people want to see LH win a title? NOT about whether Kimi deserved his?
Anyways, LH has many titles, including the most over-hyped driver ever (not all his fault, but he doesn't do himself any favours). The only one he truly covets is the one that he doesn't have, the F1 WDC and if he carries on like this, then he is unlikely ever to have one, never mind be deserving of one.

I think this is the most sensible response I have seen and I couldn't agree more! What is wrong with you people and the big hate thing against Lewis - the guy is a fantastic driver and if you bothered to read his book you'd realise how much hard work he has had to put in to get where he is today. Yes he's been lucky in some respects but that is luck he has created for himself. Why can't you just be pleased for him?!

hazman543:
ok seriously dude, this is the exact thing that doesnt help anyone.
luke, the hype surrounding hamilton isnt as much as you make out. you just build it up and put words in other peoples mouths so that you can attack hamilton even more.
yeah he was lucky to start f1 with a good car under him, but why should you hate him for that?
whether or not you like him as a person you gotta give credit where credit is due. he is a good driver no matter how much you dont like him as a person. sure other drivers like kubica, kovalainen or rosberg could have done the same, but thats because they are talented drivers to.
you cant hate on lewis just for a decision made by someone else, its kind of childish man.
you had a go at itv.... ive said this before but ill say it again: british driver, british team, british tv network, british audience.... what do you expect? of course they are going to say positive things about him and defend him like that.
and as for the alonso v hamilton stuff. its not even worth arguing about. we all know how competitive both those guys are. they are both highly skilled and both want to win, sparks are bound to fly. why people feel the need to take sides and viciously attack each other is beyond me.
Sorry, this was the response i was referring to in my last post!

Maybe if he wins a title then he will retire so we don't have to see him anymore, I won't miss him.

claire - i don't hate lewis, i just don't like him, i don't read british gutter press, i have come to my decision from what i've seen on track and heard from the horses' mouth so to speak. (Lewis would do well to keep his mouth shut, lose his petulance and if he is as great as the hype says he is - win the WDC). He does himself no favours:
a few quotes from lewis:
'i'm moving to switzerland because....' take your pick on the excuse, there were so many versions
'the monkeys at the back'
'go swivel'
'i'll just drive past them all'
'i'll make a miracle start'
'my water bottle didn't work' actually NR had same problem in previous race but didn't use it or even mention it as an excuse!
so far lewis has proven he's an average/good driver (compared with some), but there are better on the grid imo, he can't overtake, he bottles under pressure (which he has created by opening his mouth), he is distracted when strategy/races aren't going his way (instead of trying to do something about it - oops forgot, he's not capable).
btw, how many rule changes this season are down to the rules lewis broke (unpunished) last season? i think at least four? i may be wrong, he is more teflon than tony and it's not long before the press jump on him imo.
i truly believe that he was handed the easiest chance anybody has ever or will ever get to win a wdc and he fluffed it big time, personally i think he's going to go from the biggest phenomena to the biggest flop and it isn't just the british press that is to blame
