As this is likely to be the only time I get to comment on an ITV form , can I just say that they are the most useless bunch of rank amateurs I have ever had the misfortune to experience. The commentators have as much emotion as dead fish, Andy Townsend is asked "What next for Liverpool?"....well how about the Premiership and the Champions League you muppets!!

F1 was ruined by them, they could cover a table with a cloth. The average IQ of their staff must be lower than our goldfish

    Pitiful absolutely pitiful

Stay away from Sport and stick to what you do most....second rate talent shows!

Super advert!   Glad I stayed up all through that football stuff, the advert was well worth waiting for.

Perhaps a little bit badly timed though?

never mind itv, there's always the F1 GP, oh no! I forgot! you don't screw that up any more.

there's always daytime tv isn't there - you might find a niche there.

Absolute disgrace. Finally the major ***-up that ITV has looked like pulling with their pitiful football coverage. They should never have been allowed FA cup games and this should lead to the BBC regaining their far superior live games. Dreadful, pathetic mess

Re: FA CUP Everton v Liverpool

The really annoying thing for me is that ITV insisted it was a 'technical' problem.  I've worked in television all my life and I've never come across a technical problem that causes an advert to appear in the middle of a programme.  Only a human can do this.

However, I think it's quite clear that ITV, being the cheapskates they are, haven't got a human dealing with their adverts.  They've probably got a brain-damaged llama making the decisions, overseen by a cocker spaniel with learning difficulties.  That way they save money and can say that no 'human' error was involved.

     Such stupidity

Re: FA CUP Everton v Liverpool

Like nearly everyone here only signed up to tell a useless TV channel quite how bad it is. It's not a technical fault if you try running adverts, it's a monumental screw up by the guy who runs your beloved commercial for all the staff's money. And why pass it off as a laughable moment of unavoidable circumstances, when people have watched your TV programme for more than 2 hours and miss the crucial moment.
At least fire the idiot behind this screw up of screw ups, and possibly the idiot who took forever to rectify the mistake. Give the rights back to the BBC.

Re: FA CUP Everton v Liverpool

very strange post. you think we should thank them for getting it right?

companies must love you, you must spend most of your life thanking companies that sell you things, and then telling them 'never mind' when they get it wrong...

would you say this to a train operator who flicked a switch at the wrong time??? no? then why is it ok for ITV to do it during a football match in the last minutes when the match was being decided and millions of people were watching on the edge of their seats?

Re: FA CUP Everton v Liverpool - ITV SCREW UP BIG TIME

Shambolic! A world famous broadcaster completely ruining such an important game for thousands of viewers. This will go down as one of ITV's biggest ever blunders. Expect a lot of red faces at ITV offices tomorrow morning.

no hint of any (more) apologies on the highlights show - what a disgrace to broadcasting

having been shamed into making no further references to a "technical fault" - they must be in denial -  I expect that they will next be blaming the recession and the fact that they have made all their technical staff redundant.
