I would also like to say I wasn’t criticising Lewis for taking on fluids. The interview was my main focus which, I suspect, happens a few minutes after the race so there is time to drink, etc. before approaching the press. In light of what has been already said I can see that I should have worded my post more clearly for which I apologise again.

Coops the first replies were directed at Kevin - the OP - and we all know which ardent LH fan took great offence to the OP.  He/she says loads of heteful things against Alonso - and now Vettel too of all people - but it doesn't bother me - that's his/her opinion.

Jax has her opinion too, a bit extreme I know, but she's entitled to it.  The fact is this all started because certain LH fans took exception to Kevin's harmless post.

So what are you saying, that Jax should be allowed to say something without people disagreeing?

Loads of people have disagreed with her, but no one has said she shouldn't be expressing her opinion. On the other hand, you and justrace seem to be suggesting that people should not argue with her, with justrace acusing us of having a sense of humour failure!

    You must see the irony!

Doesn't there have to be a joke before people can be accused of not having a sense of humour?!

Yes, but also, not being able to see the funny side of something would also fall under the category.

What exactly is funny about people critisising someone for no good reason . Yes the op was just a harmless observation  and I did see the funny side at first but after three pages of bashing by some pretty opinionated people it stoped being funny and started to become ridiculous . Let's not forget this was all started because someone thought Hamilton should put his health at risk by not taking on fluids after a long hot race absolutely unbelievable .

Quite right this isn't funny a mans life is at risk I demand the FIA conduct a risk assessment, devise a policy and ensure all the drivers are trained on the guidlines. Jensen and Vettel by not drinking during interviews must be reprimanded!

Perhaps they could have a waiver like "motor racing is dengerous" that they could all sign. In the meantime take care...LOL cos its not funny.

No need to apologise kevin, you are NOT responsible for how other posters choose to reply to your post.

Apology accepted and please accept mine, if I knew this post would have got to this point, maybe I would have replied a little differently, evne though I enjoy being a little teaster now and then.

I doubt this post is about your original statement, it has now turned into blame Hammy fans, and the usual hammy fans trying to stand up for the lad and ourselves....but oh well, sometimes it is good to open a padora's box, especially with your first post LOL!

Why does Lewis insist on doing interviews with that water bottle and a towel around his neck? I know drivers have it tough out there... but Jenson and Sebastian have no problems talking to the press. Is it just nerves? I don't remember Lewis doing that last season.

Anyway, congrats to Jenson... finally showing us what he can do under pressure.

In what i hope is a more rational reply to your original post Kevin, yes, i think it may be just nerves. Lewis is used to a podium finish and an organized press conference. I too have noticed the towel and the water bottle. If it works for him when talking to however many thousands of people via tv, then go with it. I'm no psychologist so don't plan to spend hours analyzing or discussing it  Stick out tongueWinkBig Smile

Yes, but what about the allegations that this Hamilton bashing means that his health would be put at risk if he would not have the drink and the towel?
