Reminds me of last years Honda,Looks flash, colours are awful and it doesn't work very well.

Let's hope we don't have to wait a whole season for some improvement.

Re: New-look F1 website - What do you think?

I love itv/f1 so it pains me to say that No, I don't like the new look. I can hardly see. The red on black isn't working. And it really is too crowded and thus hard to focus. I loved the old look where that one big picture held all the drama so that even in the off-season when I knew there was nothing much going on I still got a burst of excitement when your page opened for me. And sometimes clicking on an icon doesn't seem to work but you never know, that might be me being stupid. Anyway, the site is very dramatic but difficult to manoeuver in.

    btw, kimi for champ!

Unfortunately I think it looks like it is Vodaphone McLaren Mercedes F1 websites baby brother. This is a little off putting when you are trying to read about the other 10 teams on the track. It is also not as easy to move through the sections so found myself pressing back a lot!!

Style can stay but please change the colours to a more neutral scheme!!

um, couldn't work out how to post except by replying to someone.

    :-/

anyway - the new design. look, I read this site every day so you know I luvs ya, but...

It's too garish and memory intensive.  It used to take too long to load and this has made it worse.  (I don't know why exactly - I visit other sites with just as many pictures and java which seem to take much less time to load.)   The red on black is no good.  Good ole ITV black / white / blue was much better.  The wooshing car at the top looks like a high school kid's drawing.

On the positive side, I like the bigger pics and the scrolling through them.  But the panels on the right hand side of the picture should be buttons that take you straight to the relevant story.

    Cheers

Re: New-look F1 website - What do you think?

    Hi,

I understand the need to want to change the website to include new features and layout but please don't do that at the expense of undoing the basics of good simple browsing.  I'm sure this was just an oversight but can you please make a change so that you can tell what threads you have already read as it's annoying trying to work out whether you've read a particular article or not.

A few people have commented on the colour scheme which I think is ok but I agree that the old one was better.  The thread read issue is the most important point for me as a regular reader of your website though.

     Thanks,

     Mark

It's too dark and busy for my liking. And why no FORUM link on the right as before? Crazyness

Re: New-look F1 website - What do you think?

Unfortunately I don't think anything is going to be done about this, despite the massive outcry from the website's loyal (not any more - autosport.com here we come!) readers. Autosport is a content step backwards, but at least is doesn't give me blurred vision and headaches after 5mins of reading.

If our posts and opinions are being read by anyone at the itv/f1.com team (which considering they made a big deal about being very diplomatic and giving us our say, only to keep schtum when they realised we weren't going to say what they wanted us to say), will you please respond and tell us if you are going to bother back-tracking on any of the obsurd design decisions you've made?

Don't like it at all.  The attempt to create a 3D effect by using the red colors on top of black only hurts the eye.

I find it really hard to read now

I used to visit the site every day when last season was on. Now I'll probably need to get news from another F1 site, as I just find the text on black background to be hard to read and focus on. Please change it back.
