Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

I think that's probably the most frustrating thing of all - if this had been planned as the last season, then I'm sure it would have all been written so differently!

Most of the original cast may have stayed around, and those who had already been lost (thinking Ryan and Stephen) might have been happy to return if only briefly. All the on-going storylines could have been tied up in a satisfying way, no-one would have been left up a tree, shot by their ex-wife unnecessarily, fallen badly off a cliff, etc, etc.....

I feel a new thread is needed, with the best written finish to Primeval.......

Yeah I agree. They could have done so much better had they known that this was the last series.

Just plucked up the courage to watch 3.3 again - the first half in the hospital was great, vintage Primeval, but then the end of Nick...... just horrible!

That should have been at the end of the series, not the beginning!

So many people agree with you - it just wasn't Primeval without him!

Have you found the great Douglas Henshall website? Lots of Primeval info and pics, and lots of other Dougie info too - highly recommend it!

Dougie's been a class act and I'll certainly look out for him in other things.

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

Some good Dougie things coming up soon - French Film had a limited release (but must be available on DVD soon), Collision soon on ITV and Dorian Gray later in the year (film, think this might be on general release rather than just TV)

As you say, class act and can only go from strength to strength.....

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

I've never seen Dougie in anything else but i i am thinking of watching collision but i don't really know what it's about. I've heard soemthing about a car crash and the people around it?

Can anyone tell what it is about and when it airs i will be very grateful, please Big Smile

Re: RIP Nick Cutter - gone, but not forgotten

Don't know much more than that yet - some kind of crash, and its effects on the characters and their various relationships (Dougie is a detective, I think)

It was originally due Spring 2009, but now apparently its been moved to Autumn 2009 - so could be any time between August and November, presumably! Seems ITV like to keep us waiting for anything starring Dougie, but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait...... Big Smile
