    budget

im a mum of four aged 13 to 1, am i going to be spending my extra child benefit on taxing our 7 seater vehicle,  which we bought 2nd hand last year you cannot buy a people carrier to squeeze in 4 kids pram football gear etc... with a small litre engine!  i will not go back to work as my children need me at home doing what mums should,  why should my hubby  work 7 days a week for us to be penalised... it would be cheaper for us to go on benefits!

I totally agree with you, i was saying even before the budget that we would be better off on benefits. My hubby works full time, i am disabled and receiving disability benefit and incapacity benefit, we pay full rent, council tax, prescriptions, glasses and dentist. I am on regular medication, i have 2 teeth that need filling and we both need new glasses, how the hell are we supposed to afford all this on a meagre pittance of a wage whilst all our income goes on bills and food?? The increase in child benefit and incapacity is nowhere near going to meet our needs.

    Re: budget

This 'labour' government does nothing to help the average working class families, who form the majority of this country.

Most of the front-benchers are from middle class families and have themselves attended private schools.  They even choose to send their own kids to private schools.  What does that tell you about our two-tier education system?

    Labour.  For the working class.

    What a joke.
