"You'd Think Fisi Would Know Better"

That was pretty shameful for James Allen to say at the start, there really was no hard evidence that Fisichella caused that incident, but James still had to have an opinion.

However cheeky, rude and dumb his views, ITV don't seem to be catching on and sacking him! He sounds like a bloke sitting in a pub and commentating on the race himself to his mates. (Which is hopefully what he'll be doing next year) Wink

But you would have thought he would know better, 3 years in a rowIndifferent? look at McLaren today, they knew better and went for a 3 stopper and didnt take LAST years risk....Fisi should have slowed it down!

your right and also if you watch the video closly you will to a torro rosso move alot in front of fisi in the braking zone. it was the same sort of thing as button and DC. your always going to lock up and lose control of the car in that situation. unlucky for nakajima though but at least he didnt point the finger at anyone.

Fisi has been a disappointment throughout his F1 career. I'm never surprised at anything he does. He's a nice guy but he is just average.

Oh come on, it was just an off the cuff, banterish comment made at the time of the incident!  Honestly, calm down.

I actually think he was justified in his comments seeing as how Fisi is coming up for 200 race starts.  Surely with that kind of experience he should know better?

Re: "You'd Think Fisi Would Know Better"

F1 is very unpredictable, we all know that, who says that Fisi caused it? Hard evidence is the only thing you can go on in F1, you cant make assumptions just because of what it looked like.

Who says that a car behind Fisi didn't come smashin up his backside? His tyre could have burst. Anything could have happened, but James still had to make stuff up. And it wasn't bante,r it was a false accusation.

Re: "You'd Think Fisi Would Know Better"

MMM,lets see, everyone in the thinking world knew there was going to be a first corner incident(s), so if Fisi was already at the back of the field why not back off early so he could drive past it? Seemed like poor driving all round from this angle, rookie stuff at best.

Nice post, completely agree with you to be honest, this guy is 34/35 years old and has driven a lot of Formula One starts, surely he should of used his experience more when he crashed twice in the last two years.

I think some people on this board are harsh on James Allen.

You get the technical input from Martin, and what is actually happening from James.

He isn't that bad to be honest, I like him a lot more than Steve Rider, and to be honest him and Martin make a good pair.

Re: "You'd Think Fisi Would Know Better"

James Allen was completely right to have a go. Fisi is super experienced and should not be making rookie mistakes like that. But then Fisi has conned everyone for years. He's really not that good but occasionally (and I mean occasionally) does a good move and everyone goes on about it for a while and he keeps his head down and way hey another season in Formula One!! He's marginally better than Ralf Schumacher and that's not saying much.......

You obviously haven't been paying attention then, Fisi has always been a top driver when in poor car, it was only when he got the Renault he done a substandard job.

Re: "You'd Think Fisi Would Know Better"

So the sign of a good driver is them having a memorable race? No, a sign of a good driver is out performing a poor car and generally doing an outstanding job. Something Fisi has a habit of doing in poorer cars. I'm you are only looking at Renault as you seem very shortsighted with such comments.
