Now I'm not Kimi fan but think ITV should give him the respect he deserves.

kimi had pretty average/poor race so i do think the winners race engineer is more important and Rob smedley usaully tells us usefull and interesting stuff about massa.

You seem to forget that Kimi is a man of few words at the best of times so there is no chance of an interview after a lackluster performance like todays.

Hmmmm. Lewis started third and Kimi fourth. Kovalainen had to pit early so LH and Kimi moved up a spot.

So Kimi had a poor race Tongue Tied therefore  by default the fact he finished a mere 0.5 seconds behind Lewis means Lewis had the same average/poor race.

    Confused dot com Big Smile

he legitimatly got beat by his team mate and if u count how many times thats happerned to kimi out of how many races then this was below his average (by his standards). also if he wins the title this will be considered one of his not so good races of the season.

Yes but if he had made his 3 stopper work like it was supposed to he would have gotten past Massa sooner and at least closed the 2 second gap to kimi when he was running behind him, which he couldn't do. Oh and i do believe when the roles were reversed Kimi did close the gap right down to the tune of 0.5 secs.  So I personally don't think its in any way accurate to say Kimi had a bad race or under performed. If the Lewis fans think he under performed by being a mere 0.5 secs behind Lewis does this mean you expect Kimi To finish in front of your Boy? Does that, by extension mean you agree kimi is a superior racer to Lewis?

Please don't leave logic behind for the sake of a dig at a driver you people obviously dislike because its very transparent.

They didnt just show rob they were talking to him like he drives the ferrari himself, but he did correct them at times and told whoever was interveiwing him...massa is the one who does the driving, and i note that he has been featured in most of the races!

I just find it odd that they have plenty of time and love for him, but none for kimi, or we could have a senario on our hands where like the GREAT SAF, has refused to speak to a station himself? Something is up!

Kimi did enough to convince me last time round when he muttered his way through the whole interview to be honest (Y)

    Re: Rob Smedley?

I do think its more like the relationship ITV had with Ross Brawn when he was at Ferrari.  Michael being Champion at the time and just after a race was not going to talk to any of the dozens of reporters scrambling around for race stratigy, tyre problems etc, while Ross sopke of the race and answered some of the questions raised.

And from what we see of Rob Smedley, he not only tells us about Massa's approch to the Gp, but we also see that there are at least some at Ferrari who are thrown their full weight behind Massa to win the Championship, and its not just a one driver team.

There are two many one driver teams in F1, and this helps to dilute the racing and the Championship.

There is one team, and two drivers...but every driver in a team, has his own team of men...well should have anyway Rob Smedley works for Massa, not Kimi!

Excatly! thats why its nice to hear from him and about Massa rather than about Kimi, Kimi commands more space per coloum inch in any F1 magizne or coverage on tv as he is champion.

As for one driver teams, Renault are a One driver team. The are putting everything into Alonso, while their second driver is there to make up the numbers. The F1 magazines profiled all the current drivers before the season began and Piquet's arrival at renault was not due to his blistring speed or Gp2 wins, but the fact he would be no match for Alonso.

There are other team Like Red Bull, Honda, Willams etc, I will leave it upto yourself's to pick the driver making up the numbers in each.
