So you can half see, his attempt at overtaking was feeble and lacklustered to say the least if all extraneous factors are finally taken into consideration. Where the first turn is, the way his car was set up to be superior on the grid, they way everyone has hailed Ferraris advantage to get off at the starting line, and the fact it was an actual takeover manoeuver Kimi was attempting to pull off...He either should have used more acceration, or lifted of much much sooner!
Heikki was in front at the start and by the time they went for the first turn. Heikki also had the drivers line and would have been a total weak driver in my opinon if he lifted off to allow Kimi to walk through!
Who said Kovalainen should have lifted for Raikkonen? But if he left a bit more of gap he could have won the race. Costly mistake.
Yeah right, so Heikki needs to compensate for Kimi's mistake by hitting the BMW that is plonked next to him... don't think so.
Heikki judge his braking perfectly well to avoid the BMW going on the outside... it was Kimi's misjudgement that cause the incident.

Heikki left himself enough room to turn that car perfectly at the first corner it was Kimi who attempted to overtake, so it was Kimi who should have judged it better! If Kimi got his nose out infront, okay, if Hekki turned to block Kimi, okay....but neither happened, Kimi wasnt in front, and Heikki was on the drivers line!

Yep, I actually agree with you for once. Kovy simply defended his position and Kimi was over-zealous on this occasion. Racing incident.

Yes, he left himself enough room, but not Raikkonen. I did not say anybody made a mistake, but Kovalainen could have avoided the contact for his own sake.

More Kimi spin, a racing incident is when something happens that was out of anyones control, it wasnt it was in Kimi's control and misjudged by Kimi...so it was Kimi's fault!
I would not even say Heikki was defending his postion, he gave himself room to turn, and was on the drivers line....all he had to do was stay on it and drive. There was nothing to defend, but Kimi could have saw that he wasnt going to make it BACK OFF!

I don't agree with your definition of racing incident, but anyway, it was as well in Kovalainen's control to avoid the incident, so in your logic it was Kovalainen's fault just as well.
The only one who went defensive was Raikkonen by breaking earlier to avoid being squeezed by Kovalainen. If you see the move Kovalainen then makes towards the apex that was very optimistic for the first corner esp. knowing that fractions of a second Raikkonen was right next to him. A racing incident, both could have done more to avoid it, but Kovalainen lost out most. I bet next time he will leave more of a margin.

Yeah, I'm spinning it for Kimi by saying that it was essentially his fault and that Kovy did nothing wrong. For God's sake learn some *** comprehension skills as this is hardly the first time that you have misinterpreted a post.

Have you actually seen the incident?
There is a BMW going wheel to wheel on the outside of Heikki... Kimi came from behind, misjudged it all, and caused the whole problem... Kimi panicked, that's all...
