Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

Jeremy Kyle firstly used to be a gambling addict, he makes it well known on his t.v and radio shows.

If you dont want people who need to be pushed being pushed then dont watch. People who come on the show need help, and if they cant take a little shouting then they arn't up for the treatment. If parents who take no responsibility cannot take someone telling them to step up then when are they going to change. If drug addicts cannot take a little shouting then how are they going to give up.

It costs money to treat people if they arn't commited then no he shouldnt help them.

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

Isn't it a sad state of affairs when people who need help have to resort to being humiliated on national television by a man who is unqualified to help them.  How can shouting at a drug addict help them to change?  How can shouting at anyone help them to change?  The people who watch these sorts of shows are being manipulated into thinking that the show is about helping people.  What they are really doing is exploiting the poor, the miserable and the wretched in order to make a lot of money for their shareholders, pay a lot of money to the presenters and keep you thinking that your life isn't too bad after all.  Don't be taken in by these frauds.  It's not a case of, "Well if you don't like it, turn over".  They could be spending the revenue from advertising to make better TV programmes thereby providing more jobs for the acting profession instead of promoting  a type of voyeurism amongst us viewers causing a vast majority of the population to assume they are better that those on the shows because they "Don't take drugs, don't sleep around, have a good job and behave like a responsible member of society." We are in a recession.  The government are responsible for the situation in this country.  The politicians are defrauding the public in all kinds of different ways.  There are no jobs!  So what do we do?  We watch Jeremy Kyle and pontificate about other people's problems and feel good about our own lives because "We aren't like that!"  Jeremy Kyle is a fraud and should be removed from our TV screens - but he must be making too much revenue for the TV company to do so.  He isn't there to help people - he's in it to make money.

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

He feels he's helping and thats what he does for some, i'd prefer to watch Jeremy compared to Springer now thats just another subject in its own words but jeremy is raising awareness (not only for those who appear on his show but those of us who watch from home) for everyone to pull together and help or make changes, walk down the street and look at what you see and how others are, its not that often that you pass a stranger in life and say hello, unless you do this everyday.

its common sense to have a show like Jeremys as much as he may seem harsh, there is help and those who appear on his show are in need or the marjority of cases are in need of help. The show is let down by those who think hey lets pop on the show and make a fool of our selfs!  It's time for people to wake up and see what the world is really like and as much as he may do this for money i'd disagree as he is raising awareness for others in the world to take a stand and make changes rather than sitting back and allowing the lives of normal people get ruined

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

This thread is seething to the brim with ignorance.  Jeremy Kyle acts the way he does on-camera, no doubt, to obtain the ratings he currently has (Or had).  This by no means whatsoever renders him an ***.  His job is to do what he does.  He claims to get people the help they require, and if the participants are willing to volunteer themselves into the show -- fine well knowing what's going to go down -- they deserve all of the humiliation they get.  What matters, in the end, is that they're supported they way they want to be.   The people who help emotionally, psychologically and physically are backstage.  That's the *** you don't get to see.

Until you all witness -- first hand -- what really goes on at The Jeremy Kyle Show, I suggest you approach the subject with an open mind and not an iron fist.

But it takes them to go public to raise awareness to others in order to show the youngsters of today certain issues in life are not that easy to over come. Most of us are aware that the help is back stage, but to get the help they feel they need is to go through Jeremy in the first place surely as it's not that easy to get the help which is needed in the real world without many professionals passing the book and leaving those who seek it to cope with challenges in life which they tend to end up on the wrong path.

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

HE is making money out of other peoples misery you say,,,mmmmmmmmm quto me if i am wrong but is it not the people who go on their that's making the money???

No one asks these people to come onto the show they ask ITV if they can go on and for most of them it is about the money they get for going on the show and the hotel they get to stay in whilst waiting to go on the show so it works both ways in my eyes.

Jeremy Kyle show has run its course now and i do think something else should replace it instead of the same old who her dad, DNA testing, affairs,,family rows,,thieves,,ahhhhhhhhh i could go on and on and on bit like the JK show really

At least he gives my television a rest, because I switch off when he comes on. He only speaks to people the way he does because he has three big bouncers stood in the wings. The people who come on to his show must be a voucher short of an electric toaster, or extremely hard up for cash. What a waste of TV time this programme is.

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

I don't think he talks to people the way he does, just to make them understand. He knows how to reel in the viewers. People like to watch a man who's made many mistakes himself, shout at people actually just like him. I can't help but laugh when he stands there saying "Your on my show now, so you listen to me"

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

Its his flair and temprament which got him into the business and it is this that captivates the viewers. Of course the TV ratings plays a big part in how he conducts himself, if he was sympathetic and boring all the time no one would watch the show.

As for the person this is just the way he is, sometimes allowing personal emotion to drive his tone.

Basically if you dont like it dont watch it, but obviously it has captivated you in someway or you wouldnt be on here posting.Smile

Re: Complaints - How Jeremy speaks to people

Oh yeah? You say all that, but you obviously watch the show. It can't be that much of a waste of time for you if you watch it, can it? Just because someone lives their life in a particular way, doesn't give you the right to judge them! Who do you think you are anywaym some sort of societal values setter!

The original thread was about how Jeremy talks to people, not about whether 'they are not the mother or father to a child or that they having been having an affair with their best friend,', which is irrelevant. He has no right to belittle, condescend and disrespect his guests, regardless of whether they are airing their dirty laundry on telly.

I don't agree with the actions of lots of different groups within society, but it doesn't mean that gives me the right to abuse them.
