    Guarding Children

Why can’t all children be “chipped”?  We are encouraged to have our pets chipped  - which I have had done.  I don’t have any children but if I did have any I would certainly have it done if it were possible.  When the child becomes say 16 they can have it removed and that would pander to those who cry “infringing their civil rights” or whatever.

That is going down a really dangerous path, it is bad enough living in a society where we are being constantly spied upon withou sticking satelite tracking devices in our kids.

I would definately not do this, it is taking a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. concentrate on using early warning systems, like the McCanns are campaigning for, or just be more street-wise to the risks and be aware.

there are many news items about parents being prosecuted for leaving their young children home alone, even when no serious harm has come to the children. Why have the McCanns not been or have i missed that they have?

appear to be caring parents who dropped their guard, never realising the horrendous result of a choice that will haunt them for the rest of their lives, I feel for them,ok they were  negligent in leaving 3 babes in a bedroom within a stones throw of where they were, but they had done it all through the holiday with no threat, human error, someone watched the regular habit and acted on it., not a random snatching of a child, a precise plan, knowing that this little girl was alone  while her parents dined with friends....i would look to these so called friends whose stories differ so much... fishy to me. , something not quite kosher.,

I wouldn't be keen to have my kiddies chipped, but I do see the logic.

My HMT would have them chipped in a heartbeat if he could - much more overprotective than me.  Just keeping a keen eye on them tho seems to be the best way forward
