    possible viewer fix

right click on itv catch up player

    select plug-ins  > options

    new window should open

    select performance tab

click on advanced box at bottom

under video acceleration you should see "use high quality mode" selected, if you click on the one above "use overlays" then you should see your program appear on the player.

finish by clicking ok and then apply on the first new window.

This worked for me after hours of frustration trying to view the monaco grand prix.

Please post a reply if this works for you so we can get an idea of how many people had this problem.

    Hi Foggy21,

Do you mean streaming live content?. I have no trouble with this, but only works on MSN Explorer browser. All other browsers I have tried require Silverlight to be installed. This is completely useless as it does not work!

If you can watch any of the other video content on the site, such as catch up etc, would you let me know?.

    Re: possible viewer fix

I suppose I should of mentioned what machine and windows I have

    pentium4, windows XP sp2, internet explorer 7.

the small streaming clips that you get on the F1 page showing highlights and interviews were never a problem but when I tried the catch up facility under the catch up heading all I got was the audio and a black screen, which had also been described by several people on the forum. This is when I started trying different combinations in the properties window for the player.

Hi foggy or anyone else who sees this

I've just seen your message. I've been having similar probs re catch up (watched it qiuite a bit earlier in year with no trouble)

I've been trying to follow your advice but right clicking on the 'catch up ' tab is not bringing up 'plug-in' etc. How do I actually get to the catch up player??!

    Thanks
