budget 'lets rip off working class again' 2008

WOW what a suprise, Labour have done it again. If you work, have kids, smoke, drink and have a car you get hit again.

    Price of fags up

    price of booze up

    cost of living UP

WAGES NOT GOING UP BY SAME AMOUNT OF INCREASE

    As a pensioner who

    A) doesn't smoke (don't want to and couldn't afford to anyway)

    B) doesn't drink (don't want to and couldn't afford to anyway)

    C) has to have own transport as I live in a rural area poorly served by puplic transport.

    D) pays an exhorbitant amount in Council Tax which due to location I get very little use from the services as they are all to far away.

    E) is on a low fixed income have come to the having to choose whether to heat or eat !! I have always lived within my means but now I find after paying NIS contributions and taxes for 45 years that the future is looking very bleak indeed. I  agree that unless you have paid into the country you should not be able to claim benefits.

This government is about as far from the true meaning of socialism as it is possible to get. !!

Come the next election everyone who has the vote should get out there and ensure they are ousted!!

    And vote in who?

    Ah...the Conservatives.

Yes, they really support the majority of people who keep the wheels of commerce rolling in this country i.e. the working class.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter who's voted in to power there all full of it. They promise this & that but do they ever deliver... no!  We only have to look at the Tony Blair case were as he turned his back on the minority that voted not to go in to Iraq, & did he listen? No... He just followed the orders of that warmonger  bush. I personally don't bother voting any more as I know it doesn't matter who's in power they never deliver.

Before you all rush to vote tory, just think about Maggie Thatcher. She was the one who encouraged the "I'm all right jack" attituded. If you had money and in the upper working class, you were fine. She privatised Britains assets,so now Britain has nowt to "fall back on" when times are hard like now.Shut the pits, sold Nsea gas,Shut the steel industry down....the list goes on! It right what an earlier comment stated,It dont matter WHO gets in,it will just be the same, bash the working class cos now theres no unions with any clout, they aint a threat, squeeze those on benefits cos they too dont have a say,Their "wages" are gov controlled so they can do what they want anyway. The rich get richer n the poor sink deeper below the poverty line.People are too frightened to stick together n say."enough is enough!!".

Don't blame Alistair Darling.  Gordon Brown is a control freak who is pulling the strings.   The statement that he was a good Chancellor is a myth.   He is just a tax collector.
