    Lack of Knowledge

I sometimes watch AWT in Daily Cooks and noticed the other day how much he referred to almost every item of food as being 'Greek'.  Lettuce, tomatoes, basil, lamb and the list goes on.

If AWT is to present a programme relating to food, he should research the subject better.  Is everything that we eat from Greece?  Is the air we breath from Greece?

This makes him look very stupid and shows favouritism to one country.  There are other countries in the world who grow food AWT???? Didn't you know that?  Is fish & chips from Greece too?  Is your mother from Greece?

I agree with someone else who said you should get rid of him, he is the biggest turn off for a cookery programme; and when there are gorgeous chefs around like GD, JC, who needs AWT? - he is so rude.

Nothing is ever done despite how much everyone complains, but maybe AWT should read the messages and he might learn a thing or two.

    Re: Lack of Knowledge

Probably, but that doesn't mean that everything in the world is Greek? Does AWT or his team, travel to Greece to get the ingredients, grab the lamb that is to be used, pluck the 'Greek' chicken?

If a Russian person is on the show, does it mean every item of food comes from Russia, ie. Russian potatoes, russian lamb, russian chicken?

No, he is showing favouritsm to one Country like he shows favouritism to certain chefs.  A good presenter would not do that.  AWT is NOT a good presenter.  He portrays his views on everything and WE DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT!!!!  Do you agree?

    Re: Lack of Knowledge

I'm sorry I really don't agree;  AWT is not rude and cookery shows would not be the same without him. Point taken about the knowledge stuff but we can't all be experts.

    Re: Lack of Knowledge

I suppose everyone has different taste and people are getting used to his 'odd' ways, and I agree we can't all be experts, but if you do not definitely know something, then you should not give comments on TV about it because people will believe that what you are saying is the truth, when it might not be.
