I have the pleasure of sharing my life with a wonderful springer for 11 years now! Never have i been worried about the safety of him until the last couple of years, More & more people where i live are getting dogs for the purpose of using them as attack dogs or simply can't control them! On many occasions i have heard of people who have encountered such dogs.  My dog & i have experienced  numerous aggressive meetings of such types of dogs! one time with my dog needing medical attention! What i want to put to 'the powers that be' is all dogs should be chipped by law. When a dog is found not only can it be returned to the owner,  & if a dog has been involved in aggressive behaviour it can be logged by the dog warden or police with the appropriate equipment!!  I do not want to condemn any dog but to promote responsible ownership! You have a animal who can be your best pal or your worst enemy if you do not know how to control & love your dog! All cars can to be traced to their owner, why not all dogs by law???  In extreme cases its the dog who pays with its life! If people do not control their animals behaviour & let the animal control them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
