    A.W.T's Attitude

I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but A.W.T's attitude towards his guests and chefs is very rude and sarcastic, It really spoils the show.

Thank God someone else has also seen his behaviour. As you said he is extremely rude mainly to Gino.

I really think he needs to be removed from presenting the show. Both AWT and John Burton are rude and are insulting. AWT is forever correcting Gino's English I would really like to hear him speaking Spanish.

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

Not just that on today's show (4/4) he allowed Brian Turner to say to Merilees "i cant be beaten by a woman" and then AWT went on to undermine her cooking, told her she was being cocky about winning and her introduction to her dish - ladies complain this is the year 2008!

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

Cerys was refreshing yesterday - finally someone more critical and derogatory than AWT!!!   I completely agree that his attitude with Gino is shocking.  Gino's agent needs to be doing something about it.  And the performance with Merilees versus the dinosaurs was terrible - although I don't really like her anyway, so wasn't that bothered!!

ReadySteady never seemed to groom egos like this show does.  So much more fun and light-hearted, even if the new sideways kitchen format is a little weird.

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

I do not agree that AWT is rude. I think its a bit of good old fashioned banter that puts a bit of spirit into the 'fight' of the competition between the chefs. I have met AWT, Brian Turner and Gino at exhibition shows  and they all have the same good, clean, healthy competition between them when they are in the kitchen. All the chefs are old enough to dtand up for themselves and they give back as good as they get. Wink

I agree with you regarding A.W.T. attitude, i think he rude with the guests because he has always got his spoon in the the tasting before the guests have. Not a gentleman!

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

OMG I have only recently started watching and am hooked ! I must agree AWT attitude is awful. Also with Nancy Sorrell he had his spoon in the soup before she had removed hers ! Surely the 'guest' should taste first. He's so annoying and I used to like him. Watch for the eager food tasting it is funny !

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

YES,AWT must go...please check out my comment regarding his bias attitude this week...above!..Its not simply rudeness and lack of manners etc but theres an underlying case of xenophobia and plain old british bigotry. The treatment of Jean Christophe Nouvelli this week was disgraceful...embarassing to watch AWT and Brian Turner go on about "English"this and that when JC is French and also unfairly influencing the guest celebs with these comments....no way was WT going to let him win. Please get someone less discriminatory.

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

    Entertainment!  I don't think so.

Somone with charisma and charm may be entertaining, but AWT has neither of those attributes.  Cant you read how many people are dissatisfied with his presenting?  How many complaints does ITV have to get to consider replacing someone.  Any one of the chefs on the show could easily replace him and probably get more viewers.  Even if he does continue in his presenting, he should at least be slapped down by the Producers because nothing he say is funny.

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

I have to agree - ATW - is arrogant and condescending and shows very little respect for his peers - yes PEERS - you are the presenter not headchef!!!! I find him far from entertaining and the downfall of the show :-(

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

I agree totally and I feel sorry for Merrilees, she is one VERY BRAVE woman too go on a show with those two, between A.W.T chauvanistic attitude and Gino's BIG HEAD, then to get a wally like Roy Walker who brings his favourite food for the chef's to cook with "Black Pudding"  Merrilees cook's it to perfection only to be told by the prime idiot that the flavour's of the black pudding were too strong! I ask you....Merrilees Bless you, you can't win

    Re: A.W.T's Attitude

I totally agree, he was unbelievably rude to the chefs today, especially Gino, perhaps he is racist, or maybe drunk, he seemed slightly slurry and looked like a dogs dinner, no change there though, he looks like he swallows 3000 empty calories a day.

Get rid and get someone who can actually cook to replace him,
