Having worked with a girl who's partner was on a similar show but involving football, I viewed this programme with scepticism.  Yes, as she described to me, all the same stages were there, in particular the woman chosen to train up deciding to leave at the last minute and having to be talked round to stay.

 It seemed to me that the whole scenario was a set up and cheap television - yet again.
