So check this out for irronic. Took the turbo in today for Nick (car 27) and his team to work their magic with venture shield, getting prepared for the run and all that. On the way there, with jon in toe in his 335i, we had a mini rabbit run, by the time we got there (only 45miles) i must have picked up around 100 stone chips, befor today the car had 4 chips, the day it goes in for protection i picked up 100. Anyway Nicks team make an awesome job and if you want you car protecting against stone chips i would get it done befor the run. Nick's details are on the rabbit run home page (bottom left). The only down side is he has to keep it for a few days so i'll be rolling around in the old oil burner (bmw X5 3.0d)

I was in France for a lads golfing weekend just gone and it reminded me how good the roads are over the other side of the channel, now I'm itching to go and counting down the hours for RR08.

Something i forgot when over was my driving licence and insurance details, so as another reminder for everyone

I hear Team leader #3 has got a cunning plan but I'm afraid team 1+2 will have to wait till the 2nd day to find out

I hear that Team Leader "Jon" Team 2  has lost his passport and has just been disqualified for 1 year so the team is forfeited and will automatically be last - oh well - I think we all knew you lot were going to be last anyway so it's saved you a lot of time and hassle - you can just take it easy now and watch TEAM 1 win  as Team 1 is The Winning Team.

Team 3 has tactics - yes - so I hear. Apparently if you all turn up at the same day your doing well :o)

Quite right Gids tha only tacktics or any kind of planning team 3 are likely to come up with is to turn up on the day, he he. only six weeks or so to wait now guy's, better get the turbo chipped !! only joking gids.

For those of you that don't know my mate gids is my co driver (his third outing, he wasn't allowed out for the other two) and he has not yet ventured out in the fire breathing beast, and he is savouring the moment till the event, his face must be filmed for the first mad overboosted blast.

Just fitted my Dog cams to the front and rear of the Porsche, don’t expect I will get much use out of the front one apart from scenery shots, still should get some good footage of teams 1 & 3 from behind…..

 Woo-hey!  The forums hotting up then, bit more activity..........

 So, as I understand it Russel and I have landed ourselves in the winning team by some fluke....  What a result for our first outing on the RR. This means an automatic reduction on next year?

So, how big are these bunnies? Can The A Team (sorry I mean Team 1) wear them as trophies on the front of the cars?  Better take lots of cable-ties I think!

Really looking forward to it now..... roll on May!!

There will be i bunny per day and this will be placed somewhere in the hotel, the person that finds the bunny will win (for their team) a bonus point. the bunnie will be place by an impartial Rabbit run team member. This will be Edd who will be travelling around 4 houre ahead of us each day with Paul our official car washer (detailer). I do need to explain how thw rest of the poinst system will work.

Each car will have 3 golf balls,so, team 1 will have numberd black balls, team 2 numbered white balls and team 3, yes you guessed it number pink balls (numbered 1-8). Upon the arival at each destination the driver or co driver of each car will DROP THE BALL into the rabbit run tube out side the hostel sorry i meen hotel, this will be manned by edd (if manned is the correct word !!). This will clearly show the order of arrival, the last man in from each team is that teams arrival. The winning team 3 points 2nd 2 points and third 1 point. A bonus point will be awarded to the team that arrives within the shortest time (car1-car8). However goal hanging is not allowed, you can not simply arrive at the hotel and await the arrival of your team mates, is this is done the bonus point can not be collected (at least hide around the corner). hehe
