Hypocritical! Gamblers show sponsored by gambling site!

Jeremy Kyle OFTEN talks about how gambling affected his life in the past and even attempts to offer advice to those who admit to the problem on air....so the WHY>??? is the show sponsored by both Foxy BINGO and Cheeky BINGO!!!????

He even just commented on a woman who goes to bingo and sympathised with her plight due to bingo gambling....!!!

This is the worst case of hypocrasy!! surely if he was so concerned about the affects of gambling he would refuse to work with the shows sponsors? Or does he think Bingo is not a gambling issue? and may not be the same as casino gambling??

It is a disgusting display of hypocrital proportions, and its certainly not a one off....

sort it out Jeremy and get the BACK BONE you so often go on about! You lose credibility when you advertise this way, then admonish others for being taken in by these sites!

I'm not sure many other type of companies want to be associated with the show to be honest.  They lost a very lucrative sponsorship deal a little while ago as it had links to Government funding and policy.

As much as I dislike JK and I really do despise the little toerag, I wouldn't have thought he would have much say in the shows sponsorship deals...it's down to ITV and the production company.

Actually your so right. I've seen a few shows where Jeremy has spoke to people with gambling problems. He goes on about what a bad person they are and yet, his show is sponsored by a bingo company. I guess overall, Jeremy Kyle is only interested in whats important to him, and thats not the people he meet's on his show. He pretends to care but we all know he doesn't.

I very fair point and i cant believe i had not noticed. Surely they could get a more appropriate sponsorship deal?

Re: Hypocritical! Gamblers show sponsored by gambling site!

Not sure if l see where the hypocrisy is, millions of people enjoy bingo, lottery, bookies, same with drinking, wine with a meal, pub, choc and sweets, or needing  painkillers, so are we to hide them all from view as if they dont exist, or hide all unhealthy food from people, children, because a small minority become addicted to them, we live in a society where the majority have to be denied or even suffer because of the actions of the minority.  Should it not be about personal choice and responsability as it used to be prior to our all controlling nanny state, and a public who can sue and win.

l smoke, shouldnt because of personal health problems, and the many messages given out loud and clear over many years, but still resent the state grossly exaggerating the dangers of passive smoking and turning smokers into lepers.  Still l have to accept personal responsability and not blame or sue anyone else for the affects.  Oddly in fictional, yet highly influential tv,soaps, film, etc, violence, verbal abuse, binge drinking, casual sex, swearing, anti social behaviour, lack of respect,  is shown frequently as the norm and acceptable, often admirable, so  l wonder which has the biggest influence.
