    Question about Betty's hot-pot

Hello everyone,    this may seem like a strange question to you in the UK but seeing as

i am from Montreal Canada ( and a 30 year fan of the show )  i would love for someone to

tell me what the heck lamb necks are ????    i am a pretty accomplished cook but we have

never heard that term  up here in Quebec ( and Quebec lamb is famously delicious )

which when you think about it is pretty strange seeing as Canadian Lambs have necks too ! lol

just wondering what other name this cut of lamb goes by,  or can you substitute it with another

    cut ??

    any help would be appreciated

    Thanx

    sue

    Re: Question about Betty's hot-pot

The neck of the lamb is sliced into pieces, bone very visible, and as it is a tough cut, is used for long, slow cooking. Sometimes called scrag end of neck, or best end of neck. Don't know of any other names by which it would be called.
