I have never used a forum or made a complaint before but itv4 boxing on sat 18/07/2009 was a circus with a big brother contestant against a non boxer it ruined what was upto that point a great night of boxing. it is no wonder more and more people are turning to mixed martial arts.Boxing was something i was proud of itv you should be ashamed

I run an amateur boxing club and have a number of girls training who wish to compete - I welcome some exposure to womans boxing on mainstream television because it will give my girls some confidence that they will be taken seriously when they step into the ring. It doesn't matter what level the boxing is if people toe the line they should be given respect for getting in there. Bring it on!!

did you watch it? it was disgaceful even the commentary team do not agree with you. i am an ex boxer and i can guarantee you would not get positive exposure from this. if leila ali cant change peoples mind that rubbish wont. I respect anyone who gets in the gym and gives my favourite sport a genuine go not that though

Yeah I watched it and I agree it wasn't a great bout - I've never seen Laila Ali on mainstream TV - maybe thats the problem, all I'm saying is, if all my girls see is people slagging off womens boxing then they are never gonna take the step and find find out what a great sport it really is - if you want to talk embarrassing lets talk about Tyson Fury or more honestly his so called matched opponant. I saw his first amateur bout by the way at RAF Wyton!!
